A young adult recently moved into her own apartment through our Foundations program. She is currently working 20-30 hours a week and would like to begin an in-person cosmetology program. Accessing public transportation is difficult from her home to work and school. She has her driver’s permit and would like to get her license to make her goals more accessible. The state no longer does driver’s tests through the DMV, they require that people complete this through a driving school. There is a package that will give her 2 hours of driving prep with an instructor and then allow her to take the test. We are requesting support with funding for this package please, which will help the young adult achieve her goals, succeed in school, and continue earning an income.

We have a very loving Single mom who has taken in two children under the age 4. Resource parent is awaiting home approval and stipend and is an amazing resource parent. Resource parent is facing some serious hardships this month and she is needing assistance with her electric bill. If anyone is able to help her please reach out to me asap. Thank you!

You have helped this family before. Previously, the guardian reported health issues and family situations that occured. There are four adults in the household. One of the adults is on disability and the other has medical problems and therefore cannot work. One of the adults will be starting at Taco Bell or Pepsi, whichever calls him first. There are two children in the household. The guardian reported they have paid $507 towards an AEP bill but still owe 623.38. The guardian reported they have applied for help from social services and she is calling the resource center. She reported she did not turn in the food stamps renewal in on time. She reported that social services has ten days to complete the food stamp work and she reported it has been 2 or 3 days. She is hoping social services will help because she has not recieved help from them last year and did not do the fueling assistance this past winter.

Children's Division is requesting assistance for a grandmother caring for her granddaughter. Her granddaughter was placed with her on February 14th and there has been issues with getting her contracts submitted from KVC for her licensing. She is currently not getting paid for the care of her granddaughter. Her granddaughter struggles with a lot of trauma and mental health concerns and has multiple appointments throughout the week. She also has to transport back and forth to school as the school does not have safe transportation for her. This issue will not be resolved until April 30th as it takes time for them to process her payment. She is also running low on groceries and could use help with this. WE are requesting, grocery assistance (dollar general or Walmart gift card) and a Casey's gift card for gas assistance to her appointments. We really appreciate any help that we can get.

The mother and her attorney is requesting assistance with a pay as you go phone and minutes as she currently does not have a reliable means for active communications Providing mother with a phone will ensure she can communicate with the professionals on her team, maintain family time, answer calls for employment, and schedule/make her appointments.

Recently, this mother made the courageous decision to leave a long-term, mentally abusive marriage to seek a better environment and home for her 11-year-old son and herself. She has also started taking college classes to get her degree to provide future support. She is participating in Pathway's DivorceCare where she is building supportive relationships as she starts this new journey with her son. She is moving into her own apartment and is needing some essential items. Their favorite color is any color of blue. Her son is also a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. Her bedroom set is the queen size and his is the full size.

A family in our church had a five year old girl placed with them yesterday. She arrived with very little and needs basic items. She will be moving schools and the family has asked that she have some new items to ease this transition, along with every day items.

Our foster family of 7 with a baby on the way is in need of a meal train the week their baby is born (due date is May 3rd). We're hoping to have 5+ people sign up to each bring a large meal (10 servings) the week the baby is born. This will make a tremendous difference for this family as they transition into life with a newborn.

A father has recently gotten housing and needs items for him and his son to be comfortable in their home. A few items are listed but the apartment needs all the basics for living. Financial assistance is also welcome to help purchase needed items.

A couple in our church community are expecting their first baby in a few weeks. The mom-to-be would greatly appreciate if someone could come to their home and put together a dresser while her husband is away at basic training. They are located in Cary.
