A foster home is needing a bed for their teenage placement. The teen is currently sleeping in a broken bed frame. Helping this family purchase a bed will allow their foster child to live comfortably and feel at home.

We are currently working with a family of three in Payne County. The home consists of a single mother of two girls. The mother has been working on maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for her girls and she is in need of pack and play and a highchair for her baby girl. The mother is working hard to be able to provide for her girls but often struggles due to low income. By providing these items, the mother would be given hope to move forward and feel supported by the community. We appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you!

A grandmother and her 12 yr old grandson have been living in a motel for the past 7 years, following the passing of the grandfather. They took guardianship of their grandson when he was 4 years old due to his parents substance abuse. The grandmother has been working really hard to better their living situation and after all these years they are moving into their own apartment either today or beginning of next week. Her caseworker reached out to us to see if our network would be able to help them with moving their belongings from a storage unit to their apartment. As well as help with obtaining a twin bed and bedding for the grandson (his favorite color is blue and he loves soccer). She is also in need of a bed and bedding. In the words of the caseworker: "It would mean so much for this family to have access to new beds and sheets. I want to highlight how huge of a shift this is because they have shared a small space with limited privacy. He will now have a room to call his own. While this is mind blowing independently - I couldn't image how meaningful it would be for him to see his own bed with his favorite color sheets"

Car seat needed for one year old child that is being reunited with bio family. Child has been in foster care and we are in the process of returning the child to the parent. A trial discharge has already started and we are looking to do a final discharge within the next few months.

There's a mother who has a child with disabilities living in a home in NE Oklahoma. She has her parental rights fully intact and is able to have him stay with her overnight once a month. While OKDHS CW has been able to assist her sometimes, this weekend unfortunately we’re unable to provide transportation. She’s willing and able to pick him up herself but would need some support with gas for the round trip of about 180 miles. Additionally, she’s asking if there could be some extra funds available for food and a haircut, she’s happy to take him to a shop herself.

This is an urgent situation since their visit is scheduled for this weekend, and we really want to help her make this Easter special for her son. Please consider helping this mother spend meaningful time with her son this holiday weekend.

We had a family of 10 come to us about 2 weeks ago. They had moved here from Arizona with housing lined out and a job. Unfortunatley the housing fell through 2 hours before they got to Oklahoma. They were forced to use the funds they had to live in a hotel. When that money ran out they came to us and we were able to put them up for 2 weeks. During that 2 weeks the father started working and has found a 5 bedroom home locally but doesn't have the full amount for the deposit. They can move in as early as today but are missing that 1200.00. Thank you in advance for your faithfulness!

Two grandparents have been caring for their granddaughter for the last 5 years. Recently grandpa has been struggling with his health. He has been in the hospital for an extended period of time and will require additional time in a skilled nursing facility. He has been unable to work and now grandma, who is not working, is having to figure out how to pay their bills. We are hoping to gather some grocery gift cards to alleviate some of the financial burden they are facing. Grocery stores near them are Safeway, Grocery Outlet, Raley's and Walmart.

The number of youth in CWOP have increased and DFPS has requested assistance with building Busy Boxes for the youth staying in local hotels.

A single mother of three young children (ages 10, 6, and 4) is in urgent need of support. She has been diagnosed with cancer and has undergone multiple surgeries, which caused her to miss numerous days of work. As a result, she has fallen behind financially. Her car was recently repossessed, and she has received an eviction notice for her apartment.

Although she works full-time and receives state assistance for food and medical coverage, she is unable to catch up on her rent and car payments. The stress has also impacted her children’s education, as transportation issues have led to school tardiness, putting their charter school enrollment at risk.

Meeting this $3,000 need will help her recover her vehicle and stabilize her housing situation. It will provide her the ability to continue working, transport her children to school and medical appointments, and keep her family together in their home. Your support will bring much-needed relief and hope to a family in crisis.
