A single mother of three small girls just got her first apartment, she is starting over and has very little items to start a household. Mom is leaving a DV situation and is working nights, she was able to get into income based housing and is making progress on her case plan task. The girls enjoy visiting with their Mom but having very little in the home is hard for Mom to explain to the girls, Mom is currently sleeping on an air mattress. Some of these items are essential for Mom to make meals and keep the house clean so we can increase visitation. Mom is working hard and on a fixed income. Thank you for your consideration.

I have a single parent household family, with two autistic children. The mother, who is the provider to the family, currently lost her job and is searching for a new one. Family is currently struggling to pay her bills. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

This sibling group of five are placed in three separate homes at this time and we are wanting have a fun visit for all the siblings at the Discovery Lab and Gathering Place. The children do have behaviors due to being triggers for each other and we have found that the children respond better and have more fun when they have things they can play with while together. That is why we are requesting help to be able to take them to the discovery lab and gathering place for a day of fun together.

A young family with two very children is in need of temporary assistance with food, as their EBT card was siphoned and all of the funds were stolen. (two families I work with had this happen from the same store last week). DSHS is not replacing funds.

Gift cards to grocery stores/ Walmart would be the most helpful. They would be thankful for anything.

I have a client who is expecting her first baby May 26th. She is a newlywed, but her husband is still in their country waiting for his VISA. She had to leave her job earlier than planned and has lost her income so she has been unable to buy the essentials for her baby. She would need a car seat to bring baby home from the hospital, and a matching stroller would be helpful to be able get around once baby is born. She is expecting a baby girl. Receiving these items would help her get a good start with her baby.

Mother expecting 2nd child on 5/23. This child’s father is not involved, although has support from 1st child FOB. Both unemployed and without finances to put towards listed items. This mother was recently enrolled in our program for her 2nd child, although we did have her 5 years ago when her 1st child was born. Since our initial enrollment, this mother has shown much growth in her recovery and mental health. We have provided other resources in the community, although family has not been successful in obtaining these items. Any assistance available would be beneficial to this family- thank you!

Mom recently had emergency gallbladder surgery and has been unable to work the last couple of weeks. She is currently residing in a sober living facility receiving treatment and attend the Fresh Hope program in hopes of reunited with her children. Grandma is watching the children while mom does the hard work of recovery.

Due to mom's gallbladder surgery she is behind on her sober living facility rent and needs to catch up. She needs to pay two weeks rent to catch up and get back on her feet. Please help this mom who is doing the work to reunite with her family.

Please consider helping a single mom and her 2 year old daughter here in our Scottsville community. They are in need of a refrigerator as theirs went out and now they do not have one. This would help them keep cold food instead of just shelf food for meals. This single mom works multiple jobs including an in-home bakery. Appliances are very expensive and finances are tight for her. Not only would this help with their food but it would also help her continue her business and the flow of income.

We have contacted Doug's Maytag in Scottsville and they have a new Amana for $667 or a new Whirlpool for $754. There is a $79 delivery fee and they will remove and dispose of the old one for her.

2 senior individuals with disabilities were placed in protective custody due to living conditions exploitation sexual and physical abuse. We are asking for help with community resources that may be able to assist these 2 elderly disabled individuals with mentorship, gift cards for local fastfood due to where they were placed they only have access to a microwave. Any financial assistance would greatly be appreciated to ensure securement of their room at motel until further placement arrangements can be made. What we are needing is..

1. Financial assistance for motel for approx. 1 month and transportation
2. Resources for food,clothing,mentorship transportation,housing
3. fast food gift cards so these 2 individuals can have at least 1 hot meal.
