We are serving more parents than ever before (which I think Care Portal has contributed to as well because our capacity is bigger!) Our last event had 35 moms, 7 dads, and 43 babies - with our volunteers there was over 100 people! So we have some big needs!

Hello! We are asking you to please help a foster home and kiddo by providing them with PediaSure. The child recently came into custody with special needs. He is seven years old with a food aversion, causing him to only eat PediaSure. The placement provider is unable to supply his meals/PediaSure. Please help preserve this foster home as this child is doing well in his placement and limited options are available due to his special needs. Thank you for your generosity.

There is a family of four in need of beds and bedding. The father is a single parent with low income and his hours were cut at his job. The father works as many hours as possible that his job will offer. There are two boys and one girl. The sons are 6 and 4. The daughter is 10. The children do not have any forms of beds and sleep on the floor. The father is unable to find affordable mattresses or bed frames. The family needs a bunk bed and separate twin or full size bed for the daughter and 3 mattresses for them. The family also needs pillows for the beds. Thank you!

Hello, please help a father with transportation. This father is struggling to pay for bus fares due to his current level of employment. Please help provide this family with a bus pass. He does his best to make it to every visit and appointment no matter what time, or how difficult it is for him to make it. This bus pass would help make sure he can make it to family times, parenting classes, therapy sessions, drug tests, and doctors' appointments. Thank you so much for your generosity and help in bringing this parent closer to reunification.

We have a teenage girl in custody who was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst. At this time, we are waiting on a referral to get her seen by an OBGYN. The Dr she was seen by recommended a heating pad to help with her pain and discomfort. The teen currently resides in a childcare facility so there is no one to buy her the heating pad. Any help to get this child some relief until we get the cyst removed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Volunteer Opportunity: Help Deliver Groceries to Pickerington Seniors and Residents with Disabilities

The Pickerington Area Resource Coalition seeks 9 dedicated volunteers to assist with monthly grocery deliveries for seniors and individuals with disabilities in the Pickerington community.

Our next delivery date is Thursday, May 1. Volunteers will pick up pre-packed grocery bags at Kroger (7833 Refugee Rd.) between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. and deliver them to recipients' homes within Pickerington.

All names and addresses will be provided in advance. This is a recurring opportunity, taking place once a month.

An expectant mother is in need of basic items for a newborn due later this month April. The mother's community health coach requested a pack-n-play (bassinet), infant car seat, diapers, wipes. These items will allow the child safe transport and a safe sleeping environment. The diapers and wipes will supply the baby's needs for a few weeks. We still need funds for the CARSEAT and DIAPERS. You may click, "Yes, I Can Help!" if you would like to donate funds so we can purchase the items. Or, you can bring any items you'd like to purchase to church -- diapers (newborn or size 1). A single mom recently moved from the shelter into her own apartment with her daughter with special needs. Her daughter is blind, autistic and has other complications from Optic Nerve hypoplasia. Mom states that she works but with her rent being $900 a month it has left her unable to provide a few necessary items. The home does not have a working a/c and high heat places the young child at risk of a stroke. A window unit could help provide comfort and wellbeing for the child. The home could use a few items including couch cover up as well as girls clothes size 10-12. Mom also stated that her daughter’s favorite item is an electric keyboard piano but she accidentally bumped into it and it broke. She has not been able to afford to buy a new or used one. A used one that someone could donate would be great! Any help with these few items would be greatly appreciated and significantly improve the life of a mom and child who have been through a lot.

We had a family of 10 come to us about 2 weeks ago. They had moved here from Arizona with housing lined out and a job. Unfortunatley the housing fell through 2 hours before they got to Oklahoma. They were forced to use the funds they had to live in a hotel. When that money ran out they came to us and we were able to put them up for 2 weeks. During that 2 weeks the father started working and has found a 5 bedroom home locally but doesn't have the full amount for the deposit. They can move in as early as today but are missing that 1200.00. Thank you in advance for your faithfulness!
