Story
The client, who is about to turn 65 years old this year, is currently facing a very difficult time in their life. Divorced and without any family or caregiver support on weekends, the client struggles with both physical challenges and emotional isolation. During our conversation, the client shared their deep concern about their broken lift chair, which is no longer able to assist them in standing up safely. He expressed a strong fear that the chair could completely fail at any moment, leaving them alone and vulnerable to falling without anyone around to help them. The client stated that the lift chair is unable to lift them up to a standing position, which increases their anxiety about potential injury. The client’s fear is made worse by the knowledge that the client has no one to rely on during weekends when their caregiver is unavailable. He worries that a fall could leave them injured and helpless, possibly for hours before anyone would find them. He has requested assistance in obtaining a new lift chair that can reliably help them stand up safely, restore a sense of independence, and ease the constant fear that the client currently lives with. A new chair would not only support their physical needs but also provide critical emotional reassurance during this lonely and challenging period of their life. Go To Link
