DHS is currently working with a family that has a very bad infestation of mice and because of this the child has been removed from the home until this situation is dealt with. There are several items in the home that needed to be thrown out and replaced because it cannot be washed/sanitized or is beyond repair. We are asking for the following donations: bed for mom (full size with bedding), large totes to store food and personal items in for both mom and son, cleaning supplies, couch, shower curtain and rings. All prices are from Walmart.com and we will accept anything donated also! We would appreciate any assistance you can provide this family so we can get her son back into the home. Thank you!

Hello Care Portal Community, We are reaching out for support for a family that is currently doubled up with another household to make ends meet. The family is severely limited in their spending, and one of the children is currently sleeping on the couch. He recently confided to his counselor that he doesn’t have a bed because his family cannot afford one. Any support would be greatly appreciated to help meet this need.

These children recently came into care. They are in a kinship placement, and we would like to assist in maintaining the placement. A set of bunk beds would help this placement at this time. One of the children is an 8-year-old girl who is sharing a room with another 15-year-old girl. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Youth has facial tattoos and is in need of a gift card to Sephora to support with purchasing foundation and other makeup. This would support her with covering up her tattoos when seeking and obtaining employment.

Family is being reunited and has a new home. Working on gathering things to make it feel more like a home and help them get back on their feet. Starting with the beds. I have a full size bed for mom, but looking for twin size beds for each of the two boys. Mom has asked for pillows and I would love to find them bedding as well. Boys are into Pokemon and Sonic the Hedgehog but anything blue would work.

A single mother who is the full-time caregiver for her disabled daughter is struggling to pay her rent after her monthly payment went up. She has starting driving for DoorDash and is looking for other ways to earn income while caring for her child, but she has gotten behind. She needs $262 by May2nd to avoid eviction. Please consider helping this family.

Our church is working together with a family who was recently homeless and is getting back on their feet. For years they have been deeply invested in serving our community. The mother has been a constant source of support, providing food and childcare assistance to local churches, always giving selflessly to others.
