A single dad to 4 girls ages 3-11. He has very little help from their mother. He is doing everything he can to provide for his children. They unfortunately had to throw away quite a few things in their last apartment due to a bed bug infestation. He was able to move apartments and get a bed for the older girls, but he and the younger ones share a mattress. The young girls are very bonded to dad and want to stay in his room, but he could use a little more of their own sleeping spaces.

We have a family in need. The parents have mental health, developmental and physical limitations. They are actively engaged with the supportive services in place by the department; however, they have financial constraints that prevent and are barriers for them to adequately care for their children. They have a daughter who is in foster care and 4 sons in the home that are at risk of being place in foster care. The family is requesting: a vacuum cleaner to help with cleaning/sanitization of the home, pots/pans, storage containers, bed sheets for twin bunk beds (boy), cleaning supplies like soap and bleach for cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen and bathrooms.

A mother and her four children (M 10, M 11, F 13, F 16) recently had a couple of very traumatic experiences. They recently suffered a house fire and there has been a history of abuse in the family by the father, who is no longer in the home. When the family moved after their house burned down, many items including furniture were donated to them. The family's new home has been infested with roaches and bed bugs because of these donated items. Shortly after moving into this new home, the father was removed from the home. The mother is trying her best to raise four children on one income, but she is unable to pay for extermination. MCDSS does not have the funds to eradicate the infestation at this time.

This grandfather who is caring for his 3 year old grandson, who is autistic and non-verbal. He is requesting some more cabinet locks for child proofing as his grandson is incredibly curious and getting into cabinets and the fridge. He is also doing his best to potty train his grandson. He has his own potty training chair but he thinks its a toy right now and is not using it. He feels that a toilet seat cover for the big toilet will be better him to use and learn how to potty training. He could also use some pull-ups as his grandson still wears these given he is not fully potty trained.

Carroll County has a family of 6, that are in need of food. They are working on getting there Food stamp benefits, the family has done everything they have needed to in order for the kids to not enter care. They are just truly in need of food while they wait for the food stamps to be approved. I have created a wish list, we need some one to do a Walmart pick up order so that the family can go and pick it up. I have a list and all the info needed to complete the pick up order. Family is being reunited and has a new home. Working on gathering things to make it feel more like a home and help them get back on their feet. Starting with the beds. I have a full size bed for mom, but looking for twin size beds for each of the two boys. Mom has asked for pillows and I would love to find them bedding as well. Boys are into Pokemon and Sonic the Hedgehog but anything blue would work.

A single mother who is the full-time caregiver for her disabled daughter is struggling to pay her rent after her monthly payment went up. She has starting driving for DoorDash and is looking for other ways to earn income while caring for her child, but she has gotten behind. She needs $262 by May2nd to avoid eviction. Please consider helping this family.

Our church is working together with a family who was recently homeless and is getting back on their feet. For years they have been deeply invested in serving our community. The mother has been a constant source of support, providing food and childcare assistance to local churches, always giving selflessly to others.

We are asking for support to help this family thrive with groceries, summer clothes and shoes for the children, toiletries, laundry detergent, and a gas card. Please consider supporting this family.

This family would be grateful for alternative forms of support so they can redirect their limited funds toward housing.
