Due to an unforeseen situation, three teenage boys (13, 14, and 16) are in the custody of DSS, since 7/31/2023. The boys are planning to be placed with their paternal aunt, this week. To make the placement, the maternal aunt is in need of two twin beds/bedding to accommodate the youngest two children.

The Family Navigators are putting together essential care bags to distribute to families experiencing homelessness. As we assemble these bags, we are in need of donations—specifically, toilet paper and paper towels.

A single Mom of two and expecting in August, was recently left on her own. She is struggling to pay all the bills herself and is short on April rent by $550. This client is almost at her due date, and she shared that they are still in need of a few items. Her husband works but the items they really need for this baby are too expensive. Mom cannot work because she cares for her other four children, one requires specialized care.

I Am a single parent that has two daughters that currently attend DISD. Prayers to all, I am in need of serious help with my rent this month, unfortunately I only have one source of income right now to help provide for me and my two daughters and my granddaughter,
I recently lost my mother on the 19th of March and finally was able to lay her to rest on the 14th of April, she is who I would go to for help, I have good girls, they are in need of assistance and resources socially and emotionally as well, i thank God for the school and the help they try to provide, we are a family in desperate need at this time. We have a client who was referred to our program due to truancy. Since working with our counselor, he has drastically improved by going to school every day since the start of services. He recently mentioned that he's been walking to get to school but he would really like to get a bike for easier transportation to and from school! This would be an added bonus for him to continue attending school.

This request is for a family with 3 children, one of the children is an adoptive placement. This family needs 6 dining chairs. Several of the families dining chairs have broken or are not safe for use. If you have used dining chairs you would like to donate or would like to purchase new ones, I know this family would greatly appreciate it.

Family is being reunited and has a new home. Working on gathering things to make it feel more like a home and help them get back on their feet. Starting with the beds. I have a full size bed for mom, but looking for twin size beds for each of the two boys. Mom has asked for pillows and I would love to find them bedding as well. Boys are into Pokemon and Sonic the Hedgehog but anything blue would work.

A single mother who is the full-time caregiver for her disabled daughter is struggling to pay her rent after her monthly payment went up. She has starting driving for DoorDash and is looking for other ways to earn income while caring for her child, but she has gotten behind. She needs $262 by May2nd to avoid eviction. Please consider helping this family.

Our church is working together with a family who was recently homeless and is getting back on their feet. For years they have been deeply invested in serving our community. The mother has been a constant source of support, providing food and childcare assistance to local churches, always giving selflessly to others.

We are asking for support to help this family thrive with groceries, summer clothes and shoes for the children, toiletries, laundry detergent, and a gas card. Please consider supporting this family.
