I am reaching out today with a heartfelt request on behalf of a very special 2nd grade student in need of support. This young boy is 8 years old and has special needs. He is being raised by his father, who is a dedicated single parent doing his best to provide for his son. As the warmer months approach, they are in need of assistance with summer clothing. Specifically, the child could use: Shorts and T-shirts in size 5–6T, Tennis shoes in size 12 (children’s), T-shirts in child’s small or extra small

Any new or gently used items would be such a blessing to this family. They are not asking for much—just the basics to help this little boy feel comfortable, confident, and cared for during the summer season.

This request is being made on behalf of a single mother of four children who were scheduled to move into an apartment complex in mid-April. When moving in, the family noted a foul odor throughout the apartment and discovered large areas of the carpeting covered in animal urine. After pulling up the carpeting and padding, it appears that large portions of the carpet, padding, and subfloor are stained by urine and possible mold to the degree that Stanley Steamer declined to clean the carpeting. The apartment complex has refused to replace the carpet and padding and has told the family they can pay to replace the carpet or they can have their security deposit and rent already paid back. The family has no other place to live, must be out of the current home on May 31, and has an exemplary record of past tenancy in our community.

This devoted great-aunt and primary caregiver to her two great-nieces, ages 12 and 8, and her nephew, age 10. In 2020, Aunt was awarded legal custody of the children after they were removed from their mother's care. Since then, she has provided them with a stable, loving home environment where they feel safe and cared for. Recently, Aunt’s refrigerator ceased functioning, and despite her best efforts to maintain perishable items at a safe temperature, she is struggling to provide the children with well-balanced meals. As a loving, family-oriented individual, she is committed to ensuring they have what they need, but this unexpected challenge has placed additional strain on her resources. We are seeking assistance in obtaining a new refrigerator to support Aunt in her caregiving role. Any help or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Grace Chruch Family, a need in the community has come to our attention that we would like to help with. A mom needs help with an electric bill. She has 3 children ages 6, 2, and 5 months. The baby was born early and this has caused her to get behind on several bills. Thank you for any amount you feel led to fund.

Single mother (who Emmaus members have been walking alongside) escaping domestic violence from husband along with two kids under the age of 7 years. She is starting over from scratch as they left the house with nothing and has no extended family support. She would like to have a car which would provide transportation so she can get a job so that she can get into housing. We are hoping to provide $3,000 towards a vehicle.
