A mother, her partner, and young son recently tried to move into an apartment in Cleveland. However, upon arrival, their unit was unlocked and unlivable with broken glass and exposed wires everywhere. They were financially drained from their travels and lost even more money having to travel back to Cincinnati.
They currently cannot find care for their son, as he is nonverbal, has frequent meltdowns, and often tries to run out of the house and into the street. Mom cannot seem to find anywhere that can diagnose him officially to put him in specialized care so they feel their only way to care for him at this time is to put him in foster care while both mom and her partner work to save money to bring him back into their home. They currently have no working washer and dryer in the house and are working to obtain newer clothes to hold them over until they are able to receive free laundromat services in their area from Laundry Love Cincinnati. They are behind on laundry in general after their journey to and from Cleveland.
