This young mother is facing the challenges of new motherhood completely on her own. As a single parent caring for her infant daughter, she is currently unable to work and is doing her best to provide for her child with very limited resources. She is in need of several essential baby items to help create a safe and nurturing environment for her little one. These include an infant swing, a convertible car seat, a crib with a mattress and sheets, an infant bathtub, clothing in size 3–6 months, size 1 diapers, wipes, and infant toys if available. Any support provided would be a tremendous help and deeply appreciated as she works to care for her daughter during this difficult time.

A kinship caregiver is placement for her 2 godchildren, ages 1-year-old, and 4-years-old. She is requesting help with food, diapers, and wipes until she is able to apply for food stamps.

Student is in need of an eye exam to determine need for glasses. She is struggling to see the front of the classroom. If glasses are needed a referral will be made to the Lions club to assist with this. This family is Spanish speaking.

A single mother has recently moved into a new apartment with her two year old son. The family does not have furniture. They are in need of a sofa or couch to make their home more comfortable.

After a long and difficult journey, a mother of five is just days away from a major milestone — reunification with her children. She’s worked tirelessly to meet every requirement, attend every class, and prove her commitment to giving her kids the safe, loving home they deserve.

Now, the final step is a home study scheduled for this Tuesday. Everything is in place — except for one critical piece: beds. Without proper sleeping arrangements for all five children, her home won’t pass inspection, and her reunification will be delayed… or even denied.

She urgently needs a bunk bed and a full-size bed to meet the state requirements. Your support can make all the difference between a mother hugging her children again — or being forced to wait even longer.

This is more than just furniture. It’s a step toward healing, stability, and hope for a family that’s fought hard to be together again.

Please consider helping a single mom and her 2 year old daughter here in our Scottsville community. They are in need of a refrigerator as theirs went out and now they do not have one. This would help them keep cold food instead of just shelf food for meals. This single mom works multiple jobs including an in-home bakery. Appliances are very expensive and finances are tight for her. Not only would this help with their food but it would also help her continue her business and the flow of income.

We have contacted Doug's Maytag in Scottsville and they have a new Amana for $667 or a new Whirlpool for $754. There is a $79 delivery fee and they will remove and dispose of the old one for her.

2 senior individuals with disabilities were placed in protective custody due to living conditions exploitation sexual and physical abuse. We are asking for help with community resources that may be able to assist these 2 elderly disabled individuals with mentorship, gift cards for local fastfood due to where they were placed they only have access to a microwave. Any financial assistance would greatly be appreciated to ensure securement of their room at motel until further placement arrangements can be made. What we are needing is..

1. Financial assistance for motel for approx. 1 month and transportation
2. Resources for food,clothing,mentorship transportation,housing
3. fast food gift cards so these 2 individuals can have at least 1 hot meal.

We are in urgent need of funding to purchase two mattresses (we highly recommend with waterproof covers) for a foster family who is working to get siblings placed in their home. As part of the placement transition, they will be hosting the children for some overnight visits soon and they have worked to purchase beds for their home. As a result, they are asking for help in purchasing the mattresses to put on the beds due to the sudden financial strain. These kids will be looking to make this home a permanent placement, so these items would be for use long into the future. Mom is in need of two window air conditioner units for her apartment. Currently, the children are not able to sleep in their rooms because of the temperature (either too hot in the summer or no heat in the winter). Mom also needs a twin size mattress for a bedframe that she has for her daughter.
