Story
This precious single mama is just days away from welcoming her new baby into the world, and she’s walking through this season with incredible courage—but also with a deep need for community. She’s 37 weeks along and scheduled for induction this week, yet she faces the overwhelming reality of doing this without a local support system. The individual she had lined up to care for her son is no longer available. Her sweet 6-year-old son, who attends school during the day, will need loving care after school and until mom is released from the hospital. As a Spanish-speaking single mother, her heart is full of hope but also burdened by the weight of doing this alone. Her son is bilingual and does speak English and Spanish. This is a beautiful opportunity for the local church to step in—to be her village, to offer comfort, and to remind her that she doesn’t have to face this transition by herself. Let’s show up for her and wrap her in the kind of love that carries her through this tender, life-changing moment.
