I'm currently working with a family in the area who could benefit from a garbage haul load or dumpster haul away. The family consists of a single mother and her own mother caring for the two children. With only these two adults in the home daily it has been observed to be a barrier to their success in ensuring the home is clean and organized. While they try to clean the home, their physical abilities impact how well these chores are completed and there are many different large items and boxes full of of trash that would clear up the family's space. The family does not have accessibility to travel, haul away larger garbage items and their finances are limited to ensure the children's needs are being appropriately met. Also, they have only limited support from their friends and other extended family. If it were possible for any assistance, this would surely improve the children's well-being and overall ensure the safety of the home by providing them with a clean, organized space and with using all the family's finances to ensure their needs continue to be met.

The items that need to be hauled include; two or three mattresses (unknown size), a broken bunk bed frame, boxes of other trash belongings (unknown number) and a mid sized couch.

Courageous young Mother is working hard to establish a safe, stable home for her child free from mental abuse and trauma. She is starting from scratch and is in need of a couch, blender, and clothing. She has a son size 6 and shoe size 13. Also in need of womens size large shirts and pants size 8-10 (M). Mom would also like some sort of exercise equipment for self care (treadmill, stationary bike, or light weights) Mom said she can arrange for pick up of these large items. Single working mom of 1 teenage boy currently staying with family 30 minutes away from his school due to AEP cutting her electricity off prior to her being able to work on a solution. Mom has attempted to get other solutions and is maintaining other bills at this time. Mom is driving her son to and from school at this time and child has good attendance. The total bill is $1,219.84 but to restore services it is $1,047.74.

This mother is in need of furniture for the children as they just moved into their new home. She is a single mother with minimal support. She has a special needs child and a 3-year-old. She is having a financial stress because she had to relocate with very short notice, and she was not prepared. The mother needs: 2- twin size bed frames 1 - Full size bed frame

This family was homeless for most of the year but moved into permanent housing recently. Mom is in need of money for gas as well as cleaning supplies.

After 25 years of faithfully serving students and teachers in Orange County, one of our longtime Saddleback Church members is now facing the heartbreaking reality of potential homelessness. She is a compassionate, devoted college professor and mentor with a clear anointing on her life. Due to a sharp decline in student teacher enrollment, her income has been drastically reduced. Yesterday, she received a 3-day pay-or-quit notice and urgently needs $900 in rental assistance to avoid becoming homeless by this Friday. Next month she will begin receiving income from new jobs and expects to cover her rent going forward. However, she needs support to make it through May. She is single woman who lost her only child years ago; she has no family to turn to only her church family. With a Doctorate and Master’s in Education and a BS in Mathematics, she has dedicated her life to mentoring future teachers and guiding students in challenging STEM subjects. Her mission has always been to help students discover their God-given talents and pursue meaningful careers. Since 2012, she has also served faithfully in several Saddleback ministries. As National Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, let’s show support and gratitude to this sister in Christ who has poured so much into others. A church member has a college student, at New River Community College, in a class that is currently homeless along with his father. His father broke both his arms in a work accident due to faulty equipment. Since he is unable to work and the company has put a hold on workers compensation until July they are in need of assistance. The father is unable to work at least until he has surgery on both arms. Their current needs are food and gas for him to get back and forth to work and school. They have temporary housing with family but will need assistance with this need in the near future. If you can help or have any questions you can reach out to Austin Phillips.

The school has been working with a mom who was reunified with her children about a year ago. As a single parent she has needed extra support in keeping up with all of her kiddos and their needs. They've recently been accepted to move into a more affordable home at the beginning of June but they had to move out of their current place earlier than that. They are in need of a hotel room to hold them over until their rental is ready for move in. (The landlords are actually from MP!) The hotel is $84/night and we are hoping to cover 5 nights. There are several other churches claiming other nights as well!

We have a beautiful new family that arrived last week from Afghanistan. They came with nothing and currently the government funding is not available. we have helped the family secure housing and most of the furniture needed. they hopefully will move into the apartment in the next few days.

I am advocating for a mom of 2 who has had a stroke paralyzing her left side. While ordering a wheelchair for her, we discovered she is sleeping on a mattress on the floor. This mom has had three back surgeries and needs her bed high enough to be comfortably transferred in and out of bed and to be able to rest well. She is very humble and grateful for any help she may receive.
