We are celebrating Foster Care Awareness / Appreciation month by hosting a FREE POOL PARTY at River Country Water Parks in Muskogee Oklahoma. We will be inviting current foster and adoptive families from 10+ counties surrounding the Muskogee area to attend. In addition to the pool party, we will be offering information to families of local resources and churches that they can connect with as well as dates for summer activities for VBS and children / youth camps that churches are participating in and inviting children to come to.

The party will be Saturday, May 31st from 6:30-8:30pm with capacity being roughly 700-800 individuals. We will have an RSVP process for the families. We are asking for our networking churches to contribute to the cost of renting the water facility out - $1,200. Any amount helps! The client requests insulation for the roofing project she is working on for her RV. The roof is needing to be completely replaced, down to the insulation. She is so excited at the possibility of having some assistance purchasing the things needed to complete the projects needing to be done to make her home livable and comfortable. She has been very proactive in bettering her life for herself and her young daughter and is on fire for the Lord.

Family is in need of help in the form of a grocery store gift card who is in great need and well deserving! Here is their story: A cousin has been caring for 3 kids on our case, ages 8, 9, and 16. This cousin is also very young, but she has been doing an amazing job caring for these kids for quite some time now. She makes sure they attend school and also monitors the 16-year old's newly diagnosed diabetes. The last few months have been very stressful and difficult, and any help would be greatly appreciated by the family.

A single mother who recently moved into a new apartment and just found out she is pregnant is in urgent need of support. She is starting over with very limited resources and is currently unable to work while trying to secure daycare for her three daughters. Her children include a toddler (24 months, wears size 24-month clothing), a preschool-aged daughter (wears size 4T-5T clothing and size 5 shoes), and a school-aged daughter (wears size 7/8 clothing and size 12 shoes). The family is in need of essential items including pull-ups (size 4-5), diapers (size 4), wipes, a bassinet, car seat, walker, toddler cups, and baby bottles. The mother is also in need of clothing (t-shirts size small, pants size medium, shoe size 8/8.5). Household and furniture needs include a sectional couch, table and chairs, vacuum, cleaning supplies, towels, rags, laundry detergent, dish soap, two twin-size bedding and comforter sets, a queen comforter set, and window curtains. Meeting this need would greatly support this family as they work to build a safe, clean, and stable home.

Two children are placed here with relative from Indiana. The family recently lost their car. The children go to school out of district due to School Choice program. The relative has no way to get the children to school without a car. She has a rental car through tomorrow, but can't afford it after that. We are requesting transportation assistance to help these kids get to and from school until the end of the school year. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure what to put for exact need. They need a vehicle but can't afford one right now. But the main issue is getting the kids to and from school.

Dallas County Permanency Court Judge Gonzales has 15 youth who have never been adopted graduating from high school this year. Some are going to college, some are staying in extended care, and some are going into the work force. We would like to provide each of them with “Launch Baskets” to support them as they enter adulthood without family supports. Each launch basket will be tailored to each youth’s specific situation and preferences and will include a Bible and items such as new bedding, kitchen and cleaning supplies, and gift cards. We have a beautiful family that arrived here a few years ago from Afghanistan. often the women have to take the children with to stores and other places. this women just had another child and a double stroller to help with a newborn and a 2 year old would be a huge blessing! we give gently used, clean ones - or you could purchase one. t

After 25 years of faithfully serving students and teachers in Orange County, one of our longtime Saddleback Church members is now facing the heartbreaking reality of potential homelessness. She is a compassionate, devoted college professor and mentor with a clear anointing on her life. Due to a sharp decline in student teacher enrollment, her income has been drastically reduced. Yesterday, she received a 3-day pay-or-quit notice and urgently needs $900 in rental assistance to avoid becoming homeless by this Friday. Next month she will begin receiving income from new jobs and expects to cover her rent going forward. However, she needs support to make it through May. She is single woman who lost her only child years ago; she has no family to turn to only her church family. With a Doctorate and Master’s in Education and a BS in Mathematics, she has dedicated her life to mentoring future teachers and guiding students in challenging STEM subjects. Her mission has always been to help students discover their God-given talents and pursue meaningful careers. Since 2012, she has also served faithfully in several Saddleback ministries. As National Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, let’s show support and gratitude to this sister in Christ who has poured so much into others. A church member has a college student, at New River Community College, in a class that is currently homeless along with his father. His father broke both his arms in a work accident due to faulty equipment. Since he is unable to work and the company has put a hold on workers compensation until July they are in need of assistance. The father is unable to work at least until he has surgery on both arms. Their current needs are food and gas for him to get back and forth to work and school. They have temporary housing with family but will need assistance with this need in the near future. If you can help or have any questions you can reach out to Austin Phillips.

The school has been working with a mom who was reunified with her children about a year ago. As a single parent she has needed extra support in keeping up with all of her kiddos and their needs. They've recently been accepted to move into a more affordable home at the beginning of June but they had to move out of their current place earlier than that. They are in need of a hotel room to hold them over until their rental is ready for move in. (The landlords are actually from MP!) The hotel is $84/night and we are hoping to cover 5 nights. There are several other churches claiming other nights as well!
