We have 7 students graduating from high school and transitioning out of foster care! We are partnering with DCYF's Extended Foster Care program to help ease this transition with needed housewarming items for these soon-to-be young adults. They need basic items like kitchen tools, dishes and utensils; bedding and linens and other household items. Because this is intended to meet their needs and celebrate their academic achievement we prefer for these gifts to be new or furniture that is gently used.

We’re hoping to rally support for a strong and determined 16-year-old young mom who is preparing to welcome her baby girl this July. She is currently in high school and living in the foster care system with her aunt, who is helping support her during this time.

This young mom has shown incredible resilience—she recently secured a summer job at the local fair to begin earning for her little one, though she hasn’t physically started working yet. Despite all the challenges she’s faced, she remains focused on building a better future for her and her baby.

One of her biggest needs right now is a travel system (car seat and stroller combo) to safely transport her newborn. As her due date quickly approaches, we are doing our best to make sure she’s fully prepared.

If you can help fulfill this need, it would mean the world to her. Your support would ease a huge burden and remind this young mom that she’s not alone.

I am reaching out on behalf of a child who has been given an incredible opportunity, a fully paid scholarship to attend a week long summer camp through the Angel Tree Program. This will be his very first camping trip and he is beyond excited, however he currently does not have the essential clothing or camping gear needed to fully participate and immerse himself in camping activities. Items such as sleeping bag, weather appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes, toiletries, and other camp necessities are needed before camp begins. The mother is a hardworking single parent who is the sole provider for him and his brother. While she works full-time to support her family, covering the cost of the required camping supplies is not in her current means. We are hoping to gather community support to help provide him with a gift card so he may gather the gear her needs to make the most out of this amazing opportunity. Your donation no matter how big or small will go directly toward purchasing the clothes and supplies that will allow him to attend camp comfortably and confidently.

The Department received this as a new case. The caregiver was receiving a higher rate when she was at the other County. Due to Non-Minor Dependent's (NMD) medical condition, the Department took over the case. We have just provided caregiver with basic rate until the Department makes the new assessment. In addition, caregiver had to quit her job to help NMD with the care of her newborn baby and help NMD with legal matters with the baby’s father. The foster mother resigned from her job to care for non-minor dependent (NMD) and help care for NMD’s daughter who was born very premature. Baby is home but has serious medical needs, including need for specialized formula (WIC does not provide). Non-minor dependent also has medical conditions that require assistance from her caregiver; thus, the reason caregiver decided to resign from her job. During this time, there were some issues with funding, as a result of case being transferred from San Bernardino County. This created an unexpected financial burden for the family. While DCFS is resolving the matter, the family has immediate needs for groceries and baby formula. By helping the family, this will relieve some financial pressure on the household.

A compassionate couple in our community has offered to provide respite care for two brothers currently in foster care. Their willingness to help will give the boys’ foster parent much-needed rest and support. To make this possible, they need a twin bed and bedding. Maybe we can come together to equip this couple with what they need to welcome the boys into their home.

A single mom in Cannon Falls is requesting assistance to replace a window in her trailer home. She already has a new window to install.

Mom has a child on the spectrum, so it is hard to find good day care. She is home with the kids until she can get services. That being the case, a kitchen table will help for the family's meals and for the kids to sit at and do activities. It will help the apartment to feel more like home. ALL THE ITEMS NEEDED ARE AVAILABLE FROM RISE CHURCH CP INVENTORY. NO FURTHER DONATIONS ARE NEEDED.

A lady in a senior housing complex is in need of furniture and dishes for her apartment. She only has a bed and a tv. She is in need of dishes, sofa, table with chairs.

A mom at the apartments where we serve is in need of a bed. She has been having major issues with her back due to sleeping on her sofa. She does not work and cares for her disabled son. She is in need of a bed and dresser. Anything you can do to assist will be greatly appreciated.

A member of our church is in need of assistance with his family's utility bill. This family has 6 children all under the age of 12. Both parents are employed and hardworking. Meeting this need will help alleviate this church family from this financial burden!
