A determined mother is just steps away from reunifying with her 11 year old son. With a trial home visit set to begin soon, she’s working hard to meet every requirement—but she still needs a few essential items to make their home complete: a washing machine and a dresser.

Thanks to the Fostering Hope Closet, she has already received a twin bed and mattress for her son, along with a donated gas stove—removing two major barriers.

We have a one year old female with developmental delays who is currently sleeping in a small portable crib called a pack and play. She’s getting bigger every day and is now ready to move into a regular crib that will give her more space.

A mom of a 9 year old and 3 month old is in need of your support. After welcoming a new baby into her family this last February, this woman has faced some unexpected challenges. Her newborn baby has had many medical challenges, requiring endless doctors' visits and facing many unknowns. This mama has taken it all in stride, but this hardship is wearing on her family physically, emotionally, and financially. This woman and her husband left most of their support system in their home country a year ago, and are navigating these stressors primarily on their own. They are in need of some crucial items to help support the recovery, safety, and wellbeing of their newborn son: a travel system, a crib and crib mattress. Mom is currently living with three kids in the home and two kids have been placed in foster care. Dad was the main provider and is no longer in the home. Mom is receiving SNAP benefits and is getting financial assistance from family for mainly mortgage, utilities, food and other essentials items. Mom is looking for employment and does not have any professional clothing. The children need summer clothes as they are growing and mom cannot afford it at this time.

A single mother of three small girls just got her first apartment, she is starting over and has very little items to start a household. Mom is leaving a DV situation and is working nights, she was able to get into income based housing and is making progress on her case plan task. The girls enjoy visiting with their Mom but having very little in the home is hard for Mom to explain to the girls, Mom is currently sleeping on an air mattress. Some of these items are essential for Mom to make meals and keep the house clean so we can increase visitation. Mom is working hard and on a fixed income. Thank you for your consideration.

Mother expecting 2nd child on 5/23. This child’s father is not involved, although has support from 1st child FOB. Both unemployed and without finances to put towards listed items. This mother was recently enrolled in our program for her 2nd child, although we did have her 5 years ago when her 1st child was born. Since our initial enrollment, this mother has shown much growth in her recovery and mental health. We have provided other resources in the community, although family has not been successful in obtaining these items. Any assistance available would be beneficial to this family- thank you!

Mom recently had emergency gallbladder surgery and has been unable to work the last couple of weeks. She is currently residing in a sober living facility receiving treatment and attend the Fresh Hope program in hopes of reunited with her children. Grandma is watching the children while mom does the hard work of recovery.

Due to mom's gallbladder surgery she is behind on her sober living facility rent and needs to catch up. She needs to pay two weeks rent to catch up and get back on her feet. Please help this mom who is doing the work to reunite with her family.

Please consider helping a single mom and her 2 year old daughter here in our Scottsville community. They are in need of a refrigerator as theirs went out and now they do not have one. This would help them keep cold food instead of just shelf food for meals. This single mom works multiple jobs including an in-home bakery. Appliances are very expensive and finances are tight for her. Not only would this help with their food but it would also help her continue her business and the flow of income.

We have contacted Doug's Maytag in Scottsville and they have a new Amana for $667 or a new Whirlpool for $754. There is a $79 delivery fee and they will remove and dispose of the old one for her.

2 senior individuals with disabilities were placed in protective custody due to living conditions exploitation sexual and physical abuse. We are asking for help with community resources that may be able to assist these 2 elderly disabled individuals with mentorship, gift cards for local fastfood due to where they were placed they only have access to a microwave. Any financial assistance would greatly be appreciated to ensure securement of their room at motel until further placement arrangements can be made. What we are needing is..
