This family is a disabled grandmother that is only able to get around in her mobile chair. She has been diagnosed with a breathing disease that makes it hard for her to walk any distance. She acquired both her grandchildren at birth due to their mother being on drugs. Children are ages three and four. Due to a recent move to another apartment, she is in need of Living Room Furniture. She had to trash her old furniture due to bed bugs and wanted to start off fresh and clean. She is wanting something that is durable for her two boys that can be cleaned such as Leather. Dark colors would be nice. She is also in need of Lamps, Rugs, Pictures, anything that will make her apartment comfortable for her grandchildren. At this point the room is totally empty and it echo's when the children run and play and can get very loud.

17 year old female youth in care is moving into an independent living placement on May 27/25. The youth will be moving into an apartment and does not have a bed to take with her. The youth is requiring a queen bed and bed frame.

I've got a family of 7, 2 of the children have twin sized mattresses but the other 3 children do not have beds. Both parents work just need a little assistance on getting beds for the children.

Please help preserve three foster children with their relative placement! White County DFCS has 3 children placed with their grandfather who resides in Walton County. This grandfather has taken on caring for his three young grandchildren. During the home assessment, it was noted that there is a substantial amount of items or clutter that is causing them pause with the approval.
The grandfather is in need of assistance obtaining a storage building. The grandfather would greatly benefit from assistance paying for the storage building for three months. This helps him get through the home evaluation process and supports him as he balances medical appointments for the children. The grandfather would also greatly benefit from any and all assistance with hauling the items to the storage unit. He has a lot of the items already packed into boxes. This helps preserve children being with biological family and helps the home to be able to be approved to maintain that familiar bond. Thank you!

A caregiver was recently laid off work for reasons outside of her control. Caregiver has been approved for unemployment but the weekly amounts are barely enough to cover her rent let alone other necessities. The caregiver is diligently trying to find other employment but has is getting behind on her bills. The caregiver has received a shut off notice on her electricity. OhioKAN has worked with AEP to hold the shut off for another few weeks. Once the caregiver has successfully found employment, she can get back on track with her bills but needs short term assistance until this happens. Caregiver has custody of her two grandchildren and with summertime quickly approaching, the children will need access to quality food, water, and lights. Please consider helping this family in their time of need.

A family has contacted our church in need of help to pay their rent for $1,100. We were able to provide $500 from our church. They are still in need of $600.00 to keep from being evicted. This is a single mother with a teen son and younger daughter. the mother has been sick for a few weeks and was short on her rent. She has also been helping her sister with a serious medical condition. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide this family.

Mother expecting 2nd child on 5/23. This child’s father is not involved, although has support from 1st child FOB. Both unemployed and without finances to put towards listed items. This mother was recently enrolled in our program for her 2nd child, although we did have her 5 years ago when her 1st child was born. Since our initial enrollment, this mother has shown much growth in her recovery and mental health. We have provided other resources in the community, although family has not been successful in obtaining these items. Any assistance available would be beneficial to this family- thank you!
