This family is comprised of the maternal grandmother and her 15 y/o granddaughter and 11 y/o granddaughter. The grandmother stepped forward as a resource fir her grandchildren when their mother became incarcerated in another country. She has since quit her job due to the long hours so that she can provide adequate care to the children. The family is in need of two twin sized mattresses, box springs, bedding, and bed frames. The girls would like black sheets if possible.

Two young men, ages 10 and 15 recently moved to CO from TX to reside with their step mother. The boys came to CO with very little clothing and belongings. The step mom is asking for assistance buying some new clothes for the boys. The 15 year old is a bigger kid and needs big and tall clothes. She is requesting gift cards for any stores that have good clothes in the category Big and Tall

A single mother of 3 is being supported through Safe Families for Children and has found stable housing for the family. The new location does not have a refrigerator. This mother of 3 is requesting support with getting a refrigerator for the new apartment. Delivery and installation assistance needed as well.

A mother of a youth is in need of $1250 in order to be able to pay for her rent for the month of May. Her son recently returned home with her, and she had to use the money that she had for food. If this mother receives assistance with her rent, she will be able to provide placement for her youth.

Who needs help? A father of a 9 year old daughter, who was removed from parent's custody 2 years ago, we are wanting to do a return home. What do they need? Father is needing help with rent so he can get ready for his daughter to return home. He recently lost his car and is trying to get another, paying his rent will go a long way in helping him secure new transportation . What will happen if need is met? Dad will be able to have his child returned to his custody and he will be able to provide her a safe and stable home. Father will be able to get the child back and forth to school and this summer to daycare and camp.

Again, we are out of beds with the other recent arrivals and the funds that were normally given to the refugee resettlement agencies being stopped. For these two families again, we need beds (always) and another coffee table.

Glocal has already provided through community donations other furniture that they needed along with household goods. always feel free to inquire more about our programs .

Although it may seem unlikely, we are still seeing families arrive through the refugee process. They come with basically nothing and through Glocal, we provide them new and gently used items donated through the community to help them get started in their first home in the Treasure Valley. We have one large Afghan family of 9 that we have in temporary housing and will move into two apartments in the near future. We are short beds and tables for several families. this request is for the larger family that arrived a few weeks ago. To keep things less costly, they will need to put several children in one room and bunk beds will help. they also could use some coffee tables and end tables. Glocal has been able to provide them with their other needs through earlier donations.

A family has contacted our church in need of help to pay their rent for $1,100. We were able to provide $500 from our church. They are still in need of $600.00 to keep from being evicted. This is a single mother with a teen son and younger daughter. the mother has been sick for a few weeks and was short on her rent. She has also been helping her sister with a serious medical condition. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide this family.
