The considerable distance to the children's school necessitates a dependable vehicle with safe tires for daily attendance. Furthermore, safe and operational transportation, dependent on having proper tires, is required for scheduled visits and for getting the children to and from vital medical appointments. KVC is hoping to help a 5M child enroll in a summer Reading Program. This child is passionate about reading and learning and his placement wants to help him not lose any of the progress he has made reading this school year.

The reading program is called: Summer Reading Skills through the Bishop Seabury Academy in partnership with Avila University!

I am requesting assistance with a crib and a mattress for this family. The family is composed of the parents and four children (ages 4y, 6y, 8y, and 11mo). The mother is a stay-at-home mother; the father is employed and is the sole financial provider for the family. The 11-month-old child is currently co-sleeping in the same bed as the parents. The mother requested assistance in obtaining a crib and a mattress for the baby since at this time the parents cannot afford to buy one. If the crib and the mattress are provided to the family, it would ensure a safe sleep environment for the child and it would reduce the risk of SIDS.

The mother is currently working as a security guard and as a Lyft driver for extra income. Mother reported that the family is struggling financially and asked for resources to a food bank. The mother is also requesting $200 gift card to food 4 less.

Grace Chruch Family, a need in the community has come to our attention that we would like to help with. A mom needs help with an electric bill. She has 3 children ages 6, 2, and 5 months. The baby was born early and this has caused her to get behind on several bills. Thank you for any amount you feel led to fund.

Single mother (who Emmaus members have been walking alongside) escaping domestic violence from husband along with two kids under the age of 7 years. She is starting over from scratch as they left the house with nothing and has no extended family support. She would like to have a car which would provide transportation so she can get a job so that she can get into housing. We are hoping to provide $3,000 towards a vehicle.
