Access to feminine hygiene products is a basic need that many women and girls in our community are struggling to afford. In honor of National Menstruation Health Awareness Month, we are collecting feminine hygiene items to provide to individuals in need.

With your help, we can ensure that women have the essentials they need to manage their menstrual health with comfort and confidence.

Help needed for pre-school aged girl in foster care. Her current car seat expired in 2014 and foster family needs help to replace it. Use of an outdated car seat can result in injury in the case of a crash. She needs a convertible toddler car seat with a 5-point safety harness, or a high back booster seat with a 5-point safety harness rated for children under 40 pounds. Fulfilling this need will ensure more safety for the child and alleviate the financial burden of replacement for the foster family.

Path United is a non-profit organization that supports academic and social emotional growth for at risk kids in mobile home communities throughout Georgia. An exciting opportunity offered to students who are 5th grade and older is overnight camp. This is a first time experience for many students that helps to create a lifetime love of camp and an opportunity to practice the skills that they work on mastering all school year in Path’s programs. Upon camp arrival, the first stop is a lice check. This has been a struggle for our Barrow County students over the last two years. The solutions are an expensive on-site treatment option or going back home. Path staff want to take proactive measures to offer lice treatments before leaving for camp so that their students can have access to what they need in their familiar environment, with integrity and love. A family is struggling to be able to afford the special formula their infant must have. Both parents work and have WIC but unfortunately WIC is only contracted with Similac. The infant needs Reguline Enfamil with each can costing $40 for 19.5 oz. Without assistance, they will be unable to provide the formula this infant needs to thrive.

I’m reaching out today to ask for help for a strong, resilient, loving mother of a 15-year-old boy, a 2-year-old little boy, and a precious 7-month-old baby girl. For the last four years, this family lived in a one-bedroom apartment in Kerman, dealing with heartbreaking conditions. The apartment was infested with roaches and had black mold growing in the walls — an unsafe, unhealthy place for anyone, let alone for children. Despite paying high rent to a neglectful landlord who refused to make things right, they had no choice but to stay because it was all they could afford.

Recently, this Mom was finally able to relocate her family to a new apartment in Sanger. But with the move came another hard decision — she had to throw away nearly everything they owned because it was too infested and damaged to take with them. They left behind beds, furniture, kitchenware, and even the baby’s belongings. Now, this family is starting over with almost nothing, and we’re hoping to rally our community to help them rebuild their home and give these children the safe, clean, and loving space they deserve.

A mother has lost custody of these children, and they are staying with an aunt. They have all been abused. The children only have a few clothes that the aunt has bought them, no toys, and very little toiletries.
