Story
6 year old female has severe dental care needs-dental procedures medically necessary so the child will no longer be in pain, help with child's overall health and could prevent further dental/medical issues. The child is in urgent need of multiple dental procedures. Unfortunately, the father has been detained by ICE, leaving the mother as the sole caregiver for two young children. Both children are undocumented and therefore ineligible for medical or dental insurance. As a result, the family is unable to access affordable healthcare, and the mother cannot cover the cost of her 6-year-old’s dental treatment. The child has been suffering from severe dental pain for several months. Due to a language barrier, the mother faced challenges in seeking help, but with the support of FFN, she was able to access a free dental clinic. The child was then referred to Panhandle Pediatrics, where a treatment plan was developed. We are currently seeking any available assistance to help this child receive the necessary dental care. The total cost of the dental procedure is $7539.00. Any donations or assistance towards the cost would be greatly appreciated.
