Her oldest daughter, age 25, lives with multiple complex medical diagnoses, including cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, and epilepsy. She is non-ambulatory, uses a wheelchair, and requires transportation to multiple weekly medical appointments in Columbia—a drive of over an hour each way. The mother also has two younger children, ages 12 and 16, who are active in school and extracurricular activities.

For the first time ever, this mom has fallen behind on her monthly car payment, which puts her vehicle at risk of repossession. Without a vehicle, she would be unable to get her daughter to life-sustaining medical care or meet the needs of her other two children.

This mother has been a consistent provider for her family since her husband passed away from lung cancer in 2017. This is a short-term setback—not a pattern. Meeting this need would not only preserve her independence and caregiving ability, but also serve as a powerful encouragement that her community sees and supports her.

Aunt and Uncle took placement of their niece (1y) and nephew (2y). The family is on a single income. The family needs a second crib for the youngest child. The family does not need a crib mattress. By purchasing a crib for this family, you are allowing their limited income to go towards bills, food, and other necessities. Walmart has a basic crib for $129.

Mom of four children had to leave her rental due to mold. As it is being repaired, she placed all the children's clothing and shoes in her car. She went to Walmart on 5/21 and the car, with all the clothing inside, was stolen. She made a police report but is now facing the problem with clothing her four children. There are 3 girls, ages 16, 15 and 11 and one boy age 13. They are still in school & desperately need clothing & shoes. They would be happy with donated clothing or whatever the community can provide.

We have a young widow, 33 yrs old, with three girls ages 11, 10, 8 years old in need of furniture, see listed needs. She graduated from Hope Gardens recently, is in school to complete her AA degree, and recently through the program was able get housing. This would help to create a comfortable living space for her and her daughters as she continues to futher her education and move forward in her healing and create a space for her daughters to thirve and grow.

Good morning, friends. I have been made aware of a young woman who is 7 1/2 months into a high-risk pregnancy, who has a connection with someone in our church. Part of what she is struggling with is that one of the twins she is carrying passed away quite early in the pregnancy. She has also been in and out of the hospital with various infections, but the baby is fine. She had to quit her job so she has no income and is also not physically able to get out to purchase what she needs. She is being supported emotionally by the baby's father and her parents, but they do not have the means to equip a nursery. If you have ANY baby items taking up space that you would be willing to part with or can help provide any of the items listed, it would be so encouraging and greatly appreciated by them all. She is having a girl and they do have some clothes. I do not expect all of these items to be provided, but I am just throwing out ideas. Thank you so much!
