We are reaching out on behalf of a mother who spent three months in a shelter at Restoration House and previously lived in unsafe conditions. The mother has secured a house through Atlanta Housing, but owes a large deposit. In the meantime, her and her two children are currently living with her sister because she does not have the money for the deposit. Living with a disability and unable to work, she needs $2,000 to move into her new home. She wants to remain in the area because she relies on the essential support provided by Agape. Donations are being accepted through the Agape website, and all funds will go directly to the landlord through a check issued by Agape. Any help would be deeply appreciated as they navigate this difficult period.

I am working with a single mother who has one daughter under the age of 5. The mother works full time and currently lives with family as she is trying to get back on her feet. She lives in an area where there is not public transportation and she does not have anyone to take her to work at the time of day she needs to clock in. This mother would greatly benefit from a Uber or Lyft gift card to utilize for transportation to work. At maximum it can cost approximately $30/day for her to get there and back to work. This mother works hard and is wise with her income, she just needs a little help in this way.

She is also open to meeting with someone who might be able to provide her rides to work to give her the space she needs to save up for transportation of her own.

SUMMER PROGRAM ASSISTANCE NEEDED. Two young girls, ages 8 and 4, in need of assistance to attend a summer program starting June 2nd. The foster home does not receive financial assistance for this program. It is also the only program that truly works for their location and for the foster parent to make it to work timely. Any amount donated would be helpful. Girls are also soon to be adopted and are in the most loving home with a single foster mom. There are three young girls total, the last is still able to attend daycare. Amount can be paid directly to the summer program.

We have a single mom who is struggling to provide for her son's needs. The mother is currently unemployed and does not have transportation, which makes obtaining employment very difficult. Her son's father is not involved, and she does not have much extended family support. The mother and child are currently residing in a small apartment, and have to sleep in the living room of the home due to using the bedrooms as storage. The mother is sleeping on a couch, which is now falling apart. We are asking for assistance with obtaining a new couch for her to sleep on. The mother also stated that her washer and dryer have recently broken, which makes it difficult to ensure her son has clean clothing, as she does not have transportation to get to the laundromat regularly. Due to this, we are asking for assistance with obtaining a washer and dryer for the family.

This 12-year-old foster youth has had a growth spurt and is need of some clothes. He is now a size 16. He needs shorts, t-shirts, hoodies, long pants. His waist is 33 inches and hips 47 inches. He also needs socks and a pair of shoes. His shoe size is a 7/7.5.

There are 7 people living in the home and only 1 person is able to work. The others are kids or adults on disability/recovering addicts. They have reached out to other programs but are not able to receive help at the moment. Anything can help.

There is a Neighbor's Ministry Mom that we have been working with for awhile that is in need of groceries. She experienced the unexpected loss of a child and has been dealing with a huge amount of grief which has been paralyzing at times. She is having trouble with her food stamp benefits and with her daughter out of school now for the summer, is in need of groceries to give them a strong start to the summer while she sorts out her food benefits. I have all of the items in an online cart for Aldi. If someone is interested in sponsoring them, I am happy to pick it up and deliver. Or if you would like to pick up and deliver just let me know :)
