The family consists of 2 children (1-female/12yo and 1-male/14yo) and 1 adult female. The family is currently homeless and staying in a shelter. The mother has left a very dangerous domestic violence situation and went through a bad divorce. She is requesting any assistance with bus passes and gift cards so that she can purchase the children and herself some clothing. The family is actively trying to recollect their lives and need bus passes to get around to doctor appointments and such. anything helps.

This young man is a junior in high school. The student lives between his parents house and grandparents house. His grandmother has been experiencing some health challenges since that end of last year and this has taken a noticeable on this young man. The added cost of medical expenses for grandmother has left nothing to go towards extra curricular activities. As a result the student has begun to sell snack items at school to help support himself. This young man would benefit greatly by attending summer camp and be encouraged in his pursuit of high school graduation. This opportunity would be a light at the end of a very dark for this young man and serve as a reminder that hard work pays off not just in the future but now.

This request is on behalf of a 17 year old high school student. This student is the oldest of 4 siblings and currently lives with their mother and father. The mother is not involved in the student's life and leaves the majority of the day to day responsibility to the father to care for and provide for the student and his younger siblings. Student does well in school and has been prioritizing his grades and school work. The student has expressed interest in going to summer camp but does not have the funds to attend. Attending summer camp would give the student much needed encouragement to continue to work hard towards his future goal of playing football at the college level.

I am submitting this request on behalf of a high school female with special needs. The family recently moved from out of state and was staying at a local shelter before being placed in permanent housing. The family consist of mother, father and 4 children. All the children have varying disabilities. Currently mother is the only income earner for the family. This young lady would greatly benefit from attending summer camp where she can participate in age appropriate activities with her peers and get specialized support from a camp counselor. This will also allow for the mother and father to have a reprieve while they attend to the needs of the other children.

This is a single mother with a 3-year-old daughter who is currently searching for permanent housing. Although she is not employed at the moment, she is hopeful about finding a job soon, as she has been fully focused on her situation. The mother has a limited income and needs clothing and shoes for her daughter, or a gift card to purchase these items. Her daughter wears clothing size 4 toddler and a shoe size 7 toddler. Having these essentials would greatly assist her, allowing the mother to concentrate on securing a job to provide for her family.

A family of 5, mom and dad with three children ages 17, 15, 5 who are in need of a small deep freezer to be able to store more food for their family. This family was living in a hotel in Roswell as they had relocated here and have been working with KFT. This family has been in their own home since January 2025 however in the move, their deep freezer broke and didn’t survive the move to their home. With three growing children, extra freezer space would be helpful for the family to store their food.

We are getting ready for Walker’s Kid’s Day, which is our community’s big back to school event. I would like to send a Care Portal request for school supplies. The father of a family of five suddenly passed away without any life insurance. The family is not only mourning this profound loss but also finds itself in a financial crisis. In addition to funeral expenses, their one working vehicle is experiencing electrical issues and cannot be used until it is repaired. They also need to replace their oven.

This request is on behalf of a 17 year old male high school student. December 2024 the student was hospitalized for mental health issues. Student was released into his mother's custody 4 days after being admitted to the hospital. Once at home student was met with mixed reactions about the experience from various family members and was told that he was weak and needed to toughen up. Despite the lack of moral support the student has began to make progress in the right direction with the help of weekly therapy sessions and mentoring from the youth pastor at Crenshaw Christian Center. Attending summer camp would give this student a much needed break from his home life and an opportunity to find much needed support and encouragement among his peers. This young man has attended various college tours and wants to pursue occupational therapy upon high school graduation.
