Single, pregnant mother of a one year old girl in need of diapers, size 5 and female newborn, wipes and groceries. Family is facing eviction due to mother's high risk pregnancy and inability to work causing 3200 in overdue rent. Mother is paying as she can and if assistance is received, mother can pay more towards rent instead of groceries, diapers, etc. Mother plans to return to work once she has given birth.

The caregiver in this case has taken in three children, ages 6, 8, and 10. As the children are growing quickly, the caregiver is struggling to keep up with their clothing needs and is currently in need of assistance. This unexpected placement has placed a financial strain on the caregiver, who is doing her best to provide a safe and nurturing environment. Any support to help provide appropriate clothing for the children would greatly ease her burden and offer some peace of mind during this transition. This family consists of a paternal grandmother has custody of her 4-year-old granddaughter and is requesting assistance to obtain a new toddler bed for the child. Currently, the child is sleeping either on a broken bed or in the grandmother’s bed. Due to financial difficulties, the grandmother is unable to purchase a new bed independently. She is requesting a twin size bed with a mattress and a set of sheets for the child.

A mother of four has reached out to DFCS out of desperation, as she is currently facing eviction, owing last month and this month's rent ($3,432). However, if she can pay at least last month's rent, she can avoid the eviction process. As of now, she could be removed from her home at anytime because she has surpassed the seven days her landlord has given her. This mother has tried to get approved for rental assistance, but was denied. The mother is currently not working because her car needed repairs, but she is working on getting that done. She just needs a financial boost to get back on her feet.

As you may be aware, Dave Petke is in the hospital with a UTI and blood pressure problems. Sharon is not able to be at the hospital all the time, it wears her out and her health is not good enough for her to be there with him all the time. She’s tried just calling to check in, this morning she sat on hold for 45 minutes and had to call back three times before she finally got someone to answer. Someone is needed this week to sit with Dave each day between the hours of 8am-12pm to give Sharon time to get ready and get over there each day to be with him. I am working with a awesome, hard working Single mom that does amazing work helping others in the community is now facing some hardships. She and her family attended, participated wholeheartedly and graduated from our 14-week Strengthening Family Program and has been an outspoken advocate for family wellness. She was recently put in a very hard situation and received news that her landlord is selling her home expectantly, and she was put in a time crunch and after searching and searching for a new place she found one and has to come up with a deposit of $1000 to hold the unit. After talking with the new homeowner, he stated she could allow her to pay $500 by Monday 6/9/25 and the other $500 by Friday 6/13/25. If you can help, please be a blessing to this mom, please, she has helped so many families in her line of work, and she has just paid her rent where she is currently living and does not have the money for her deposit. If you could please help her so she and her children are not put out on the street, and can move into their new home. Anything you can donate would be a great help. Thank you!

One of our newly arrived families has moved into apartments that have no air conditioning and the family has no fans. We all know how hot it gets and the adults and the children can get overheated. If anyone can provide a free standing or window air conditioner or a couple fans, that would be wonderful. Thank you

I am reaching out on behalf of one of our Children’s Church students who is currently in foster care. Her mother has recently secured employment and is in the process of transitioning to a new home. While this is a positive step forward for their family, it has also placed a significant financial strain on them. Due to these circumstances, the family is unable to afford the registration fee for summer camp. However, we strongly believe that this child would greatly benefit from the experience—emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Camp would provide her with a safe, uplifting environment and a chance to grow in confidence and faith during a time of major life change.
