Story
A resilient mother of two, her 12-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son have faced unimaginable hardship. Not long ago, this family was living in their car, doing their best to stay safe and together through some of the toughest nights. Recently, they were able to move into a temporary space with a relative, a small but hopeful step toward rebuilding their lives. The mother works tirelessly to secure stable housing and a brighter future for her children. But in the process of surviving homelessness, the family was forced to give up many of their belongings, most heartbreakingly, their children’s clothing.
They now face each day with courage but not much else. The mother humbly asks for help replacing the clothes her children lost. Her daughter wears a size 7 in shoes, size 11 or 12 in pants, and a large in shirts. Her son wears a size 5½ to 6 in shoes, size 12 in pants, and size 10 or 12 in shirts.
This family has endured so much, yet they continue to push forward with love, hope, and determination. Any support, especially clothing for the children, would mean the world to them and remind them that they are not alone.
