Kristy Crill of The Dive and a fellow member of CCA connected me with a woman and her adult age special needs son who left a DV relationship in the beginning of this year and accepted a new job here in Savannah as a LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) with an expected start date of June 23. She and her son have been staying at an extended stay hotel and have exhausted their funds on food lodging and transportation. Her car broke and she relies on uber to get to and from work. This woman is looking for a one week hotel stay down in Richmond Hill near her new job. She is also in need of your prayers.

client is 27 weeks pregnant. She got a job and saved up enough to pay for moving into a new apartment. She was previously unhoused and sleeping on a friend's couch. She needs furniture and items to use in her new apartment when she moves in. She needs a queen size bed frame and mattress, queen sized sheets and pillow, sofa, floor lamp, dresser, kitchen dishes and silverware, cooking pans, bathroom rug, towels, etc. She has a microwave and a shower curtain.

I have a family of 6: a mom, dad, 6-year-old boy, 4-year-old girl, 1-year-old girl, and 6-month-old baby. The parents are not working, and they moved in with their grandparents. The 1-year-old is turning 2 this month, and they want to transition her to a toddler bed from a crib. They need a toddler bed. Transitioning from a crib to a small toddler bed will help with the space of the room because they have to fit all the beds in one room.

Hello, I am working with a mother of a 10 and 14 year old, who has finally after many years of abuse fled a bad domestic violence relationship. She entered a DV shelter over a year ago where she was reunified with her two girls and has remained strong in her commitment to protect and provide for her children. Since leaving the shelter a few months ago, She obtained employment and was able to secure a small studio apartment for she and her girls. She has worked hard to furnish the home, but with the heat of summer approaching and having some medical conditions, there is no A/C in the home for them. She wanted to see if someone has access to a small window air conditioner, New or used will work. Her studio apartment is small so one unit will cool the home. I was able to do a little research and looks like there are units from $150 to $250 on sites like Amazon, Lowe’s or Home Depot. Caseworker is requesting assistance to help support a newly single young mother trying to gain financial independence and support her five children (ages 6, 5, 3, 2 and 9 months). Mother is the primary caregiver for the children when home but also works full-time trying to make ends meet. Mother works very hard, but is still struggling to get the necessities that are needed when raising five growing children. A $200 gift card to Walmart or Target would help mother during an already emotionally stressful situation and allow her to get ahead in what is crucially needed!

This foster family has 2 foster children in their care along with other children in the home. The donation of a dresser would help them store clothing for their growing foster children. A new or used dress in good condition would be appreciated and so helpful. They are in need of a 6 drawer dresser that is tip proof since it will be for a young child and 2 more young children also reside in the home. Your consideration in assisting this family with resources is always appreciated.

Hey BC fam! We have a foster family in our church that has welcomed newborn twins into their home and is in urgent need of formula support. The babies consume one $40 can per day. The family is asking for $1,200 over the next 4 weeks as WIC will cover the cost after that. Your generosity will help provide essential nourishment during this critical time. Single mom with two children facing eviction if she doesn't get help with her rent. Children out of school, and challenges with child care, caused her to miss work. She only has half of her rent. She needs to help with $600 which is the the other half of the rent and late charges. The children will be going to summer camp in July allowing mom to get back to her normal working hours.

A single mom with an 8-month-old is living with her mother and does not have a bed for herself. She needs a full or queen-size bed (frame, mattress, and box springs) plus bedding. A small floor fan (not a ceiling fan) is also needed for the bedroom. This mom is part of the Napier community that Harpeth Hills serves.
