I’m reaching out on behalf of a single mother who is currently going through a very challenging time. She recently lost her job and is now without a source of income. While the family is working to receive some assistance from community partners to address basic financial needs, one important and immediate area of need remains unmet: clothing for her 9-year-old daughter.

As the child continues to grow, she is in need of properly fitting clothes that will allow her to feel confident, comfortable, and supported, both physically and emotionally. Having access to clothing that fits well will not only help her participate more fully in daily activities and social interactions but also help promote her sense of dignity and well-being during a period of uncertainty.

Here are her current sizes:

Tops: Adult Medium

Pants: Junior size 18 or Adult Medium

Shoes: Women’s size 8 or Big Kid size 7.5 (Boys)

Undergarments: Training bra or Women’s Medium sports bra; Panties size 8

Request Details: A single mother of three children (ages 3 to 8) is facing an extremely difficult season. Her 8-year-old son was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is undergoing treatment, which required her to resign from her job in order to care for him full-time.

She is also currently expecting twins (a boy and a girl) and does not have any baby items or support prepared for their arrival. The financial strain of her son’s illness and loss of income has left her unable to pay her rent and utilities, now totaling $2,000, and she is at immediate risk of becoming homeless.
