A kinship caregiver is needing assistance with her rent payment for the month. The caregiver has taken in her 4-month-old nephew and due to buying all of the necessities that the child did not have, has come up short on her rent payment. In addition to her nephew in the home, the caregiver has 2 children in her home that will now be at risk of losing their housing. The caregiver is waiting for her caregiver funds to start and has only just started the process for foster care. If assisted, the caregiver and her family will continue to have stable housing and will not have the fear of losing it or having to find a new home. She currently owes $1800, and any assistance is appreciated!

When the request is met the family will have continue to have a stable household without concern for housing.

Single mother has been awarded her housing voucher and is expected to move out of the shelter August 1st to her new apartment. She will not be provided the full amount of her furniture voucher from HRA because they are paying for her storage unit. So she will need a mattress and frame for her 3 almost 4-year-old daughter.

A single man who grew up in Altadena lost his home in the fire. He has now been able to secure housing but is in need of assistance with some final items for his home. He is finally back to working after the fires and is in need of some more kitchen and house hold items until he is able to have more money coming in.

Male single father in family shelter is requesting a double stroller for his son and his daughter aged 1 1/2 and 7months. He has recently become a single father due to domestic violence, and he is now handling the care of his 2 children under the age of 2 and navigating 2 separate strollers has been seen to be a huge hassle and almost close to impossible. He has to do doctor appointments, HRA appointments, and just the everyday navigating of life.

MOC is requesting financial assistance for her son to attend summer camp over the summer. MOC would like the youth to attend to help build his social skills and to keep him physically active over the summer. The cost to attend a week long of camp is 255$/week plus a 165$ fist time registration/supply fee. The camp is through the Adventure Club, Creative Play Centers Inc., in Colorado Springs. The tuition fees are due in advance and a two day per week minimum is required to attend. I have attached the tuition sheet to this request. This would benefit the household by allowing the youth to attend camp activities, make friends with other youth his age and keep him active and engaged over the summer.

A family from Lincoln got a notice from the Health Department last week that their rental is being condemned due to lead poisoning. They will be moving out tomorrow and searching for another rental. The family needs some time to be able to find a home that fits their budget and time to be able to strengthen the health of their kids who have been impacted by the lead. We are hoping to provide the family with a one week hotel stay, some giftcards for meals and homecook meals while they are without a kitchen. This family is naturally on top of things; however, this has a large impact on them. What a great way to show and share the love of Jesus with them by stepping in.

This request is for a single mom who has four children- 11 years, 7 years, 1 year, & 2 months. She has no transportation, so she is walking the family everywhere. Given the ages of the children, they all have to go out together. The double stroller is for the 1 year-old and the baby, to make outings more feasible and safe. The donation can be new or gently used. You can drop the stroller off at Woodstock City Church or at Children's Haven, whichever is more convenient.

There is a family with four children, 3 of which are special needs, that got placed in police protective custody this week due to abuse. The children were removed and all 4 (ages 6,4,4,3) are needing beds for their placements. This is an evolving situation and other needs may arise, but the beds are the most immediate need. Thank you for any help you can provide!

A local family in need has been identified by our church. She lost her job and is trying to sell her house because otherwise she is going to lose it. This is one of those situations where circumstances have snowballed into a big mess. She's trying to get back on her feet, but the burden is heavy and discouraging. She needs a hand up. They have food for today and tomorrow. We would like to offer assistance with alleviating some of the bills that are piling up and helping the family to secure quality food options.

We are seeking the funds to pay their electricity bill so that the power can remain on, the phone bill so that she can maintain contact with their realtor as they try to sell the house, and funds for a grocery gift card.

Hey BC fam! We have a foster family in our church that has welcomed newborn twins into their home and is in urgent need of formula support. The babies consume one $40 can per day. The family is asking for $1,200 over the next 4 weeks as WIC will cover the cost after that. Your generosity will help provide essential nourishment during this critical time.
