_The caregiver and her husband are in the process of adopting their granddaughter and are in need of extra assistance for her. The caregiver recently had heart surgery, which limits her mobility while she is recovering. During this recovery and the surgery, the caregiver’s husband has had to assist the caregiver at home, and take care of the child which has caused him to miss work. The caregiver’s husband recently started a new jo which allows for flexibility with the caregiver’s recovery, however they are now behind on rent. The caregivers are committed to caring for their grandchild and want her to have the best opportunities for growth and development. The caregiver’s are requesting assistance with $500.00 to cover their rent for this month. The caregiver’s are already behind and could face eviction if not paid.

When this need is met the caregiver will be able to maintain kinship placement as well as housing.

Single mother of 2 who is need of fresh foods. Cal Fresh has cut funding and with kids not in school food programs for the summer is struggling with fresh produce for kids.

Unemployed parents with three children in the home, dealing with various medical issues, such as asthma, high blood pressure and severe allergies do not have a cooling system in their home . Due to the increased temperatures this week and the summer in general, it is imperative that this family have an air conditioner and box fans to keep a comfortable temperature in their home to avoid any other potential health risks.

I am hoping to get a security camera "add on module" that is needed for a family to be able to use 2 security cameras that were given to them. This mother is currently dealing with a very dangerous domestic violence issue between her and her husband, who continues to break into the home and threaten her safety. She is hoping to get security cameras set up by the front and back door, to ensure that she has some protection and footage when incidents happen, to use for a PPO or legal protection. A kinship caregiver is needing assistance with her rent payment for the month. The caregiver has taken in her 4-month-old nephew and due to buying all of the necessities that the child did not have, has come up short on her rent payment. In addition to her nephew in the home, the caregiver has 2 children in her home that will now be at risk of losing their housing. The caregiver is waiting for her caregiver funds to start and has only just started the process for foster care. If assisted, the caregiver and her family will continue to have stable housing and will not have the fear of losing it or having to find a new home. She currently owes $1800, and any assistance is appreciated!

When the request is met the family will have continue to have a stable household without concern for housing.

A family from Lincoln got a notice from the Health Department last week that their rental is being condemned due to lead poisoning. They will be moving out tomorrow and searching for another rental. The family needs some time to be able to find a home that fits their budget and time to be able to strengthen the health of their kids who have been impacted by the lead. We are hoping to provide the family with a one week hotel stay, some giftcards for meals and homecook meals while they are without a kitchen. This family is naturally on top of things; however, this has a large impact on them. What a great way to show and share the love of Jesus with them by stepping in.

This request is for a single mom who has four children- 11 years, 7 years, 1 year, & 2 months. She has no transportation, so she is walking the family everywhere. Given the ages of the children, they all have to go out together. The double stroller is for the 1 year-old and the baby, to make outings more feasible and safe. The donation can be new or gently used. You can drop the stroller off at Woodstock City Church or at Children's Haven, whichever is more convenient.

There is a family with four children, 3 of which are special needs, that got placed in police protective custody this week due to abuse. The children were removed and all 4 (ages 6,4,4,3) are needing beds for their placements. This is an evolving situation and other needs may arise, but the beds are the most immediate need. A local family in need has been identified by our church. She lost her job and is trying to sell her house because otherwise she is going to lose it. This is one of those situations where circumstances have snowballed into a big mess. She's trying to get back on her feet, but the burden is heavy and discouraging. She needs a hand up. They have food for today and tomorrow. We would like to offer assistance with alleviating some of the bills that are piling up and helping the family to secure quality food options.

We are seeking the funds to pay their electricity bill so that the power can remain on, the phone bill so that she can maintain contact with their realtor as they try to sell the house, and funds for a grocery gift card.

Hey BC fam! We have a foster family in our church that has welcomed newborn twins into their home and is in urgent need of formula support. The babies consume one $40 can per day. The family is asking for $1,200 over the next 4 weeks as WIC will cover the cost after that. Your generosity will help provide essential nourishment during this critical time.
