Story
We’re reaching out to the CarePortal with a special request on behalf of an 11-year-old boy living in a kinship foster home. Right now, he doesn’t have a suitable dresser of his own—a simple but important piece of furniture that many of us may take for granted.
A dresser is more than just a place to store clothes. For a child in foster care, it represents stability, dignity, and a sense of belonging. Having a dedicated space to neatly store his clothes gives him ownership over his personal things, encourages organization, and helps create a sense of normalcy in a life that may have already seen a lot of upheaval.
This young boy is doing his best to adjust and thrive in his new home, and we’d love to help make his space more comfortable and functional. If you have a gently used dresser to donate—or if you’re willing to sponsor a new one—your gift would go directly to making a positive impact in his daily life.
