Please help an 11-year-old girl stay with the only family she knows. This month, an adoption-hopeful mother who has taken in an abused little girl needs help meeting her rent. She works full time and normally has no issues with paying bills, but this month her own mother has fallen terribly sick and is on life-support. Grief and the need to be by her mother's side at the hospital has prevented this home from being able to attend work and while her boss is working with her to keep her position, she needs a little assistance meeting rent for July. Any amount helps.

I have been working with this father for 2 weeks, since I had first met him on 5/30/25. Father is aware of his needs and expressed his need for therapy and to get into a substance abuse program. He has a history of substance abuse and has expressed using drugs to cope with his grief of losing his mother, alongside his traumas. He has expressed a desire to reunify with his daughter and recognizes that he needs to help himself before being able to help his daughter. Father has been transparent to CSW about his situation and has expressed needing support. Any assistance in the form of in-kind donations will eliminate some of the financial barriers in reunifying with his child. The father is currently homeless and does not have a stable place of residence. He has been utilizing friends for temporary residence, but cannot be permanent places of residence. He does not have familial supports. Father does not have employment but has utilized DPSS support to receive GR and Medi-Cal. He has been experiencing homelessness for 6-7 months and has experienced being assaulted and robbed from. Father was robbed of his belongings including his phone and his bicycle. I had referred father to two shelters yesterday, which is pending receipt of verification. The father is of need of clothing, blankets and food supplies.

This family is facing significant financial hardship. Their young child, who is autistic and prone to elopement, recently lost his childcare placement due to challenges related to his behaviors. The CARES team is actively working to help the family secure an appropriate daycare that can better support his needs. The mother is currently attending school while the father remains at home to care for their son.

To help relieve some of their immediate burden, the family is requesting clothing for both the child and mother. The child wears a size 4T; his favorite color is green, and he enjoys “CARS” themes, though any color or design would be greatly appreciated. The mother is in need of clothing in size 2X tops and size 22 pants or shorts. In addition, they are in need of a sofa (any type) and bottled water, as the tap water in their home is poor quality.

Providing these resources would allow the family to redirect their limited funds toward more urgent needs while they work toward stabilizing their situation and securing daycare so the father can return to work.

I have a family that is in great need of 1 chrome book (laptop) for minor under their care at this time due to the school not having any laptops to rent out to minor. The child, and his four siblings reside with the maternal aunt and uncle. The child is in need of the laptop to complete their homework at home. Since the children have been placed with this aunt/uncle, service providers and school personnel have noted the positive changes in the children’s academic and mental health progress. The family is continuing to adjust to the financial responsibility of the five children plus their 2 biological daughters who also live in the home. The laptop would help the minor with academic success.

A dedicated mother and her husband, a disabled veteran, are working hard to raise their 5-year-old daughter. The family’s refrigerator was on its last leg and unfortunately stopped working today. Thankfully, they were able to find a mini fridge to temporarily save some of the food, but it is not a long-term solution. They are in need of a working refrigerator to store their food safely. Additionally, they would greatly appreciate a bookshelf to support their daughter’s homeschooling, as the mother is currently teaching her at home.

A family from Lincoln got a notice from the Health Department last week that their rental is being condemned due to lead poisoning. They will be moving out tomorrow and searching for another rental. The family needs some time to be able to find a home that fits their budget and time to be able to strengthen the health of their kids who have been impacted by the lead. We are hoping to provide the family with a one week hotel stay, some giftcards for meals and homecook meals while they are without a kitchen. This family is naturally on top of things; however, this has a large impact on them. What a great way to show and share the love of Jesus with them by stepping in.

This request is for a single mom who has four children- 11 years, 7 years, 1 year, & 2 months. She has no transportation, so she is walking the family everywhere. Given the ages of the children, they all have to go out together. The double stroller is for the 1 year-old and the baby, to make outings more feasible and safe. The donation can be new or gently used. You can drop the stroller off at Woodstock City Church or at Children's Haven, whichever is more convenient.

There is a family with four children, 3 of which are special needs, that got placed in police protective custody this week due to abuse. The children were removed and all 4 (ages 6,4,4,3) are needing beds for their placements. This is an evolving situation and other needs may arise, but the beds are the most immediate need. A local family in need has been identified by our church. She lost her job and is trying to sell her house because otherwise she is going to lose it. This is one of those situations where circumstances have snowballed into a big mess. She's trying to get back on her feet, but the burden is heavy and discouraging. She needs a hand up. They have food for today and tomorrow. We would like to offer assistance with alleviating some of the bills that are piling up and helping the family to secure quality food options.

We are seeking the funds to pay their electricity bill so that the power can remain on, the phone bill so that she can maintain contact with their realtor as they try to sell the house, and funds for a grocery gift card.
