Story
We are reaching out on behalf of a brave mother who recently made the life-changing decision to leave an abusive environment in order to give her two children a safer, healthier future. One of her children is young and lives with autism, requiring consistent therapy and care, which this mother provides full-time. As a result, she is unable to work at this time. Through incredible perseverance, she has secured stable housing with the help of HUD vouchers, and CSCDS was able to assist with the deposit and initial rent. Her son's SSI benefits currently help cover ongoing utility and housing expenses. However, she is facing one last hurdle: her family's personal belongings are still in storage, and she has no means of transporting them to her new home. With no local friends or family to assist, we are asking for help from anyone who may be able to lend a hand. If you or someone you know can assist with transporting her items, it would make a meaningful difference in helping this mother fully transition into her new beginning. Any support—whether through physical help, access to a truck or van, or connecting her with local resources—would be deeply appreciated. Let’s come together to support a mother doing all she can to give her children the safe and stable life they deserve. Thank you for your compassion and support.
