We have a young girl (7) who has been without a bed for over a year after hers broke. She has been sharing a bed with her mother since then. Providing her with a bed would give her a safe, comfortable space of her own to rest and grow.

We are grateful for our community and the care and coffee initiative.

A two-parent household with two children—a seven-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son—is requesting assistance with a gas card. The mother is employed full-time through her local school district, while the father works part-time and continues to actively seek full-time employment. Both parents are engaged in their services; however, travel-related expenses have become a financial burden. Gas assistance would help alleviate this strain and support the family’s continued participation in required services.

Maternal aunt has her two nephews and a niece residing with her to provide care for them. The aunt already has three children of her own. There are other requests submitted for beds. This request is for 3 pillows, 2 full size comforters and two twin size comforters. The family would greatly appreciate this gesture and help to keep the children with them.

A vibrant and imaginative 12-year-old girl is facing a heartbreaking situation. After her legal caregiver refused to allow her to return home, she was left in an uncertain and emotional space. Thankfully, a close family friend didn’t hesitate to open her heart and home to this young soul, offering the stability, care, and warmth every child deserves. This was an unplanned but deeply compassionate act — and now, we’re reaching out to our community for help. With a new child in the household, the family is in urgent need of support to make her feel safe, seen, and supported. We are currently working with a family that consists of an expecting mother due in September, husband/ father, 4 year old boy, and 8 year old girl. During this time, the family has been working to improve the stability and environment of their home. The family is motivated to continue improving their environment and maintaining their home. The family is in need of an air conditioning unit, a gas stove [gently used is fine], and storage supplies for their bathroom including a lock box for their medications. A family with two children recently took in two dogs from their sister. The dogs almost had their sister evicted from her apartment, and now they are faced a similar dilemma. If they don't find a home for the dogs, they could be evicted. The family is looking for a home for the two dogs. They searched rescue sites and no kill shelters but hasn't received any help or support. Please help support this family by either taking in the dogs or by spreading the word.

Hello! Church, we have an opportunity to come alongside a single mom who is a member at Wildwood & help support her as she cares for the older bio siblings (brothers ages 9 & 12) of her adopted son. The brothers are still in foster care and need care for a period of 10 days in July. To say yes, the single mom needs childcare for the boys while she is at work. There are openings at a local day camp for both boys. The cost for 7 days of camp for both boys is $700. Please keep this family in your prayers - pray specifically for the time the three brothers will have together. One of our very own families, who faithfully serves every weekend, is currently facing a difficult season. They are in need of support with rent and groceries this month to get back on track and not fall behind.

Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to serve two families in our community. While our assistance was very much appreciated, it does not alleviate the on-going need for these families. Both families have young children who are home during the summer months. To ensure that they have access to hot meals during the summer while they are out of school, Heartland is initiating a request to provide food gift cards to each family throughout the duration of the summer.

A father at Point Church has recently regained custody of his three children and could use some clothing items for them. He is in need of a few shirts, a few pairs of shorts, a pair of pajamas, a few pairs of socks and underwear, and a pair of shoes for his 5-year-old daughter (clothing size 5-6, shoe size 11-13), 7-year-old daughter (clothing size 8-10, underwear size 10-12, shoe size 12-13), and 10-year-old son (clothing size 14, shoe size 5). Secondhand clothing in good condition is fine. It would be a blessing for them to have these items by July 11.
