This devoted caregiver -65-year-old great aunt—has recently welcomed her 12-month-old nephew into her home. Living in a small senior apartment with limited space, she is doing her best to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the child in her care. Currently, the child’s car seat and stroller were kindly donated but are extremely worn and no longer fit properly. The bulky stroller also takes up most of the child’s play area, limiting his ability to move and grow. Due to recent car expenses and low income, she does not have enough funds saved to purchase a new car seat and stroller. This request is for a combined infant/toddler car seat and stroller—known as a “travel system”—which would not only greatly improve safety during travel, but also free up much-needed room at home for the child, encouraging healthy physical development. This would make a meaningful difference in their daily life and help the caregiver shift her focus on engaging in child enrichment activities in the community, and continue providing the best care possible.

Young, single mom of a seven (7) month old baby girl is in need of assistance with July rent. Mom recently learned that she needs surgery for a tumor in her neck that is suspected to be cancerous. She has been told that if it isn't removed, it will eventually become cancerous if it isn't already. She has no family here and she is trying to make it work with the father of her baby but he hasn't been supportive and has been distracted recently and she fears he may be involved with someone else. Any financial rental assistance would be greatly appreciated by this mom who is a client of Aid to Women Center Pregnancy Center. She attends weekly parenting classes to learn and to grow and receives, diapers, baby wipes and clothing for her baby girl. Mom and baby girl are dependent on the father of the baby for income at this time.

We have a dedicated mother caring for her tall 13-year-old son, who is in need of financial assistance to purchase a comfortable queen-size bed. Your support could make a meaningful difference in their lives, providing the comfort and space he needs to grow.

My client is a young single mother of a young an infant, that is in need of some financial assistance. Mom was dealing with a domestic violence situation that she in no longer around. Mom has experienced a lot of trauma that she is currently trying to work through and is struggling mentally and financially. Mom has been having a difficult time securing employment but is trying. Mom has gone to multiple job interviews and has submitted countless applications. Helping this young mother would not only help boost her confidence but would also allow her to continue growing her bond with her infant in an atmosphere that they are familiar to. Mom needs assistance getting her electric turned back on. Thank you for taking the time to read a little about her story and for considering assisting her.

We have three girls ( 11,9,6) who have been without proper beds for some time, using broken ones that no longer provide comfort. A new bed would give them a safe, restful place to sleep and help them feel supported, cared for, and at peace in their own space.

We are grateful for our community and the care and coffee initiative.

A family with two children recently took in two dogs from their sister. The dogs almost had their sister evicted from her apartment, and now they are faced a similar dilemma. If they don't find a home for the dogs, they could be evicted. The family is looking for a home for the two dogs. They searched rescue sites and no kill shelters but hasn't received any help or support. Please help support this family by either taking in the dogs or by spreading the word.

Hello! Church, we have an opportunity to come alongside a single mom who is a member at Wildwood & help support her as she cares for the older bio siblings (brothers ages 9 & 12) of her adopted son. The brothers are still in foster care and need care for a period of 10 days in July. To say yes, the single mom needs childcare for the boys while she is at work. There are openings at a local day camp for both boys. The cost for 7 days of camp for both boys is $700. Please keep this family in your prayers - pray specifically for the time the three brothers will have together. One of our very own families, who faithfully serves every weekend, is currently facing a difficult season. They are in need of support with rent and groceries this month to get back on track and not fall behind.

Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to serve two families in our community. While our assistance was very much appreciated, it does not alleviate the on-going need for these families. Both families have young children who are home during the summer months. To ensure that they have access to hot meals during the summer while they are out of school, Heartland is initiating a request to provide food gift cards to each family throughout the duration of the summer.

A father at Point Church has recently regained custody of his three children and could use some clothing items for them. He is in need of a few shirts, a few pairs of shorts, a pair of pajamas, a few pairs of socks and underwear, and a pair of shoes for his 5-year-old daughter (clothing size 5-6, shoe size 11-13), 7-year-old daughter (clothing size 8-10, underwear size 10-12, shoe size 12-13), and 10-year-old son (clothing size 14, shoe size 5). Secondhand clothing in good condition is fine. It would be a blessing for them to have these items by July 11.
