Mother is currently employed at a small packing company; however, recent reductions in hours—combined with the unexpected burden of a medical bill and necessary car repairs—have severely impacted her ability to meet rent obligations. Mother currently resides in a converted garage, the only available shelter for her and her child. She has fallen behind on rent for June and is unable to pay for July, putting her at imminent risk of eviction. Without immediate assistance, the family faces displacement and possible homelessness. The mother would be forced to live in her car with her 11-year-old son, a circumstance that would jeopardize the child’s safety and emotional well-being. Stable housing is critical to maintaining a secure, structured environment for the child who has already experienced prior disruptions. By resolving this emergency housing need, the mother can focus on increasing work hours, addressing basic needs, and continuing to parent effectively. This support will help prevent a housing crisis that could threaten the permanency of the child’s placement and the mother’s reunification success. Thank you.

The biological mother of a child that has been placed in foster care has been evicted from her apartment. This mother is living in her van until something else is figured out. She has had difficulties getting approved for SNAP and is in need of some help with non-perishable items to keep in her van. I am requesting a $100 Wal-Mart gift card so that she can buy some food.

The mother is in need of assistance. The mother is working hard to try and support her 3 children (triplets) and keep her family together. The mother needs assistance with diapers and clothing items for the triplets. They just turned 6 months old. The children are size 2 diapers and 6 months and up in clothing. This request would assist the mother because the mother is challenged with being the only round the clock caregiver and has no other family in Colorado other than 5 year old son and husband. A gift card to a place where she can purchase these items would be great, or donation of these actual items. Thank you so much.

This is a family of two kinship caregivers and their three grandkids (4, 7, and 9). The grandparents also care for two other grandchildren outside of DHS care, so they have their hands full (and their hearts as well!). Finances are tights, and the kids are growing quickly. They could benefit from a Walmart gift card in any amount for clothing and groceries.

A family with two children recently took in two dogs from their sister. The dogs almost had their sister evicted from her apartment, and now they are faced a similar dilemma. If they don't find a home for the dogs, they could be evicted. The family is looking for a home for the two dogs. They searched rescue sites and no kill shelters but hasn't received any help or support. Please help support this family by either taking in the dogs or by spreading the word.

Hello! Church, we have an opportunity to come alongside a single mom who is a member at Wildwood & help support her as she cares for the older bio siblings (brothers ages 9 & 12) of her adopted son. The brothers are still in foster care and need care for a period of 10 days in July. To say yes, the single mom needs childcare for the boys while she is at work. There are openings at a local day camp for both boys. The cost for 7 days of camp for both boys is $700. Please keep this family in your prayers - pray specifically for the time the three brothers will have together. One of our very own families, who faithfully serves every weekend, is currently facing a difficult season. They are in need of support with rent and groceries this month to get back on track and not fall behind.

Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to serve two families in our community. While our assistance was very much appreciated, it does not alleviate the on-going need for these families. Both families have young children who are home during the summer months. To ensure that they have access to hot meals during the summer while they are out of school, Heartland is initiating a request to provide food gift cards to each family throughout the duration of the summer.

A father at Point Church has recently regained custody of his three children and could use some clothing items for them. He is in need of a few shirts, a few pairs of shorts, a pair of pajamas, a few pairs of socks and underwear, and a pair of shoes for his 5-year-old daughter (clothing size 5-6, shoe size 11-13), 7-year-old daughter (clothing size 8-10, underwear size 10-12, shoe size 12-13), and 10-year-old son (clothing size 14, shoe size 5). Secondhand clothing in good condition is fine. It would be a blessing for them to have these items by July 11.
