DCFS Policy for Burial is only for Foster Care Providers only NOT parents and the fees have to be paid upfront, and forms submitted to be reimbursed. CSW reached out to the person who sent the Morgue Release Letter via email, with the Notifications Section LAC Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office. This CSW asked for the Health Department and County Morgue Tax ID numbers. This CSW was provided with a flyer on how to obtain the ashes. Obtain the Health Permit first. Can obtain the Death Certificate at the same time. Once fee is paid present permit obtained to the Medical Center and pay the Cremation fee. Once fee is paid, will provide the driving directions to the Los Angeles County Crematory/Cemetery. CSW informed that the County Morgue and Health Department do not have Tax Id's and therefore would not be able to submit for funding and no other funding available. Person would have to pay the fees upfront and get reimbursed. The Department is trying to assist Ms. Moore with obtaining Royal ashes however, there does not appear to be any funding available for this situation. Trying to obtain to obtain the ashes of the child, Royal Terry who passed away on 12/23/2023 from the LA County Morgue on behalf of Mother. Health Permit is $11.00 dollars. Death Certificate $24. dollars. Cremation $352.00 dollars. Total of $387.00 dollars.

We are receiving young women at our new location for youth aging out of foster care. To support these young women as they transition, we urgently need a washer and fryer. Having these appliances will allow them to was their clothes conveniently, ensuring they have access to clean clothing. This essential resources will serve multiple young individuals againg out of foster care and help them maintain their dignity during this challenging time.

Single mother works two jobs but needs help with getting beds for her three sons. The family needs a set of bunk beds with mattresses and a full size mattress. Thank you for your consideration and the Lord bless you!

This request is for two newly settled families of seven members with 4 children living in the same apartment. This family includes a mother and father and children three children 6 years old (M), 4 years (F ) and 3 years (M) The 4 year old suffers from seizures. The 3 year old has cancer.

The second family is the father's sister who has a 6 year old boy. This mother is bed ridden and sometimes can be upright in a wheelchair. We don't know what her sickness is.

With all the medical issues and doctor appointments in the family, the father, who is a hard-worker, can only work part-time.

The driving lessons for the father are very important. He currently rides a bike miles for his part-time job. Also, it is difficult for the family to get to all their doctor appointments without a transportation. We have identified an Arabic speaker that can provide lessons.

Regarding the requested sofa, Beautiful Mess Ministries can supply. A responding team would just need to pick-up from our storage unit and deliver. Regarding the children clothing, please note the ages. Summer wears, please.

A Teller County family could use a blessing! This family is comprised of a mother, father, a 4-year old girl, and a 2-year old girl. Both parents are employed, but still struggle with food insecurity. Unfortunately, as of earlier this year, they no longer meet the guidelines for economic assistance. While the Department has assisted with providing local resources and the parents are utilizing some food pantries, the need this month is simply too great. Therefore, the Department is respectfully asking if any Care Portal partners can help bridge the gap at this time with Wal-Mart gift cards so that they family can purchase much need supplies. A family with two children recently took in two dogs from their sister. The dogs almost had their sister evicted from her apartment, and now they are faced a similar dilemma. If they don't find a home for the dogs, they could be evicted. The family is looking for a home for the two dogs. They searched rescue sites and no kill shelters but hasn't received any help or support. Please help support this family by either taking in the dogs or by spreading the word.

Hello! Church, we have an opportunity to come alongside a single mom who is a member at Wildwood & help support her as she cares for the older bio siblings (brothers ages 9 & 12) of her adopted son. The brothers are still in foster care and need care for a period of 10 days in July. To say yes, the single mom needs childcare for the boys while she is at work. There are openings at a local day camp for both boys. The cost for 7 days of camp for both boys is $700. Please keep this family in your prayers - pray specifically for the time the three brothers will have together. One of our very own families, who faithfully serves every weekend, is currently facing a difficult season. They are in need of support with rent and groceries this month to get back on track and not fall behind.

Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to serve two families in our community. While our assistance was very much appreciated, it does not alleviate the on-going need for these families. Both families have young children who are home during the summer months. To ensure that they have access to hot meals during the summer while they are out of school, Heartland is initiating a request to provide food gift cards to each family throughout the duration of the summer.

A father at Point Church has recently regained custody of his three children and could use some clothing items for them. He is in need of a few shirts, a few pairs of shorts, a pair of pajamas, a few pairs of socks and underwear, and a pair of shoes for his 5-year-old daughter (clothing size 5-6, shoe size 11-13), 7-year-old daughter (clothing size 8-10, underwear size 10-12, shoe size 12-13), and 10-year-old son (clothing size 14, shoe size 5). Secondhand clothing in good condition is fine. It would be a blessing for them to have these items by July 11.
