Greetings, We are seeking urgent rental assistance for a mother and her young daughter who are currently without stable housing. They need support for a three-week stay at the Whitfield Extended Stay to avoid entry into foster care for the child. The mother recently experienced a series of devastating events. Her eldest child was hospitalized and tragically passed away, during which time she also suffered a heart attack. As a result, she has been unable to work and has fallen behind on rent, leading to her eviction. She is scheduled to move into a new permanent residence on July 25, 2025, and is in the process of returning to work. The cost of temporary housing is $325 per week, totaling $975 for the full stay. Providing this short-term assistance will allow the family to remain together in safe housing during this critical period. Any support toward this request would make a meaningful impact.

This child is in need of a weight set as a part of his coping skills within our program. This child's main goal within services in his own Words is to be adopted as his mother disappeared 3 years ago due to drug use and he has the desire to be adopted along with his siblings after severe neglect took place within the home. The family would benefit from this weight set because of how this supports the client's coping skills and current goals and future desire of going into the military to serve our nation and to build strength for his wrestling team in high school. In the meantime, until he is adopted, he would like to work toward his physical health being strong so he is able and ready for anything and equal to anything he may encounter going forward in his life. The family would greatly appreciate this because they have been doing a lot for both this child and his sibling without the support they were promised kicking in and low funds for anything beyond basic needs.

A young father of two young daughters is working a prevention case with OKDHS. This young father is a hard worker and is needing some community support to help him with his family. The children's mother is not involved and this father is the provider and caretaker for these young ladies. His oldest daughter has a severe chronic medical condition and this father had to miss some work because she was hospitalized. This resulted in the father losing his job. He has been looking for another job ever since, but has not found one yet. This father is in danger of losing his only means of transportation for him and is daughters since he has been out of work. We are asking for help with preventing this dad from losing his vehicle. Any help that could be put toward this need would greatly benefit this family that is struggling to get on their feet. A singe mother of 2 with the 7 year old who has epilepsy and requires specialized treatment. During the last two months the younger child required multiple doctors visits and specialty visits to Stanford Children's Neurosurgery Center. This has put a major financial strain and hardship on the mother. With additional unforeseen costs of travel, medical bills, prescription costs, and lost time from work. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated to help this family with this urgent need as they are facing eviction. We would like to help reduce any additional stress that would trigger any seizures episodes from occurring from having to move. Your help will keep this young family from becoming unhoused.
