CDSS is working with a twelve year old girl in foster care, who is currently placed in a residential treatment facility several hours away. Unfortunately, she has limited connections to her family and community. CDSS is working to engage with her in planning for her future and investing in completing her treatment program. The youth has requested from their new social worker, a weighted blanket to help with anxiety. Thank you for your consideration!

The mother is currently not working due to being out of school for the summer. The mother works as an aid at the local middle school. She is not receiving food stamps due to her not turning in the appropriate paperwork. The mother has been donating plasma to help get some income. The family currently does not have much food in the home. There are three children residing there.

Hello! We are asking you to please help a little girl by providing her with some clothing. She is 8 years old and currently living with her mother. She is growing quickly, and her clothes are getting too small for her. Her mother is currently unemployed and is experiencing financial hardships. We are requesting some summer clothes, specifically shorts and dresses (size 10-12). The mother and child would be very grateful for any help you could provide. Thank you for your generosity.

A young person who recently aged out of foster care is moving into their first apartment and is in need of a dresser. They're working to set up a stable, functional living space and have their heart set on a dresser they really like and will fit the dimensions of their room set at the price stated. We could really use help with this basic piece of furniture to make the space feel like her own.

An adult sibling took placement for her younger three siblings from Virginia. The adult sibling/ kinship modified her home to make enough bedrooms for her siblings to live with her however the window air conditioner stopped working in the middle child's bedroom the day after the children were placed in the home. They are borrowing an window unit from a neighbor but that neighbor needs hers back. The family is in need of a small window air conditioner to have enough bedrooms for all siblings placed in the home. Please consider helping these kids stay with kinship!

Single mom of 3 is expecting a baby girl at the beginning of August and needs assistance with items for her newborn. This is a mother that we've worked with in the past who is reaching out in hopes that we can help her provide items for her newborn baby to come home to. She is very hard working and does all she can to provide for her babies but as a single parent is struggling to secure the supplies she needs for her baby on the way. Any contributions to provide relief would immeasurably encourage and strengthen the welfare of this family.

A grandmother has just received custody of her 3 grandchildren. They are in need of clothes, shoes and school supplies.

Fostering Hope - one of our 111project Networking Partners is asking for additional AGE SPECIFIC Bibles that they can use to distribute out with their Hope Bags that they use to assist children and families in need within the Muskogee area and surrounding counties. By providing a Bible you are helping the ministry to provide the family with an easy conversation starter and age-appropriate reading tool to help with the child's development and potentially help with additional relational connection between Fostering Hope, it's clients and churches for wrap around support to the family and children.

This family has secured an apartment but cannot afford to fully furnish it. Dad, recently lost his job, rent is paid for this month. They need a sofa, beds, kitchen utensils, and the basic items for living. The children are ages 9 and 4, and grandma lives with them as well. They've been coming to Lighthouse Church as a result of using the pantry on site.

A blessed opportunity to help a young, Christian family make it through a very difficult time in the heat of summer. A mother and father trying to secure a roof over their young children and feed their family. Tragically, the mother just lost her baby during delivery; father had to take time off from work to take care of her. He is back working but they are behind a few paychecks.

They need help to stay in a hotel for 2 weeks while they save money to rent an apartment (the apartment isn't ready yet). They could also use help with essentials and food.

If we can help them now, it will stabilize their income and resources for the future.
