This caregiver has taken in twin girls age 13 and she has a 14 year old daughter herself. This caregiver is a recent amputee and is unable to work at this time. She has been denied disability benefits and only receives $23 a month in food stamps. She is in a 2 bedroom apartment but is on a list for a 3 bedroom apartment. She is requesting bunk beds, bedding, personal hygiene needs, school supplies, clothes (size 10-12), shoes (size 8.5), and immediate grocery assistance. In addition, she would like a gift card for Cali’s Beauty Supply so that she can get hair needs for the girls so that they can attend school and not be bullied.

The caregiver's car recently broke down and it is unable to be driven. The caregiver reported that it will cost 630.00 to repair. The caregiver does work, and she has been having to uber to work and uber to drop off and pick up the children from daycare. The cost of the Ubers has become a financial barrier to her. The caregiver is in need of assistance via a gift card or payment towards the mechanic shop for the repairs. The caregiver is in need of her vehicle to assist with caring for her grandchildren and she does not have the means to pay for it by herself to have it fixed.

The Department became involved with this family due to concerns of living situations within the home. The home is in need of organization of a large amount of acquired items to ensure the safety of the family within the home. The family would benefit from large plastic totes to aid in the organization of the home. The totes would allow the family to organize their items and the family to have safer access to more areas within the home.
