I have a family of 6: a mom, dad, 6-year-old boy, 4-year-old girl, 2-year-old girl, and 6-month-old baby. The parents are not working, and they moved in with their grandparents. The 6-year-old and the 4-year-old need a twin bed and also to fit in the 1 room.

Single mother of two children in Manhattan in need of a portable AC unit. Family was just relocated from their apartment in Harlem to Midtown due to mom's medical conditions and no longer being able to live on a high floor. She does not have the funds at the moment to purchase an AC unit for the home due to the move. If this is something that the care portal team could support with, it would be greatly appreciated.

Resource Linkage is working with a family who is currently without their own housing. They are trying to locate housing of their own. Resource Linkage is requesting assistance to help with a hotel fee for a few days to get them out of this heat and in air conditioning so they can rest and feel rejuvenated. They have their dog with them so the hotel fee plus a pet fee for 5 nights is $523.00. Baymont by Wyndham in Tullahoma, TN has these nights available. Any help is appreciated!!

Mother needs Red nursing scrubs to begin her new job on Friday (7/18/25). Mother stated that she only needs one pair of scrubs to get her started on the job and then can buy more on her own once she starts getting paid. She stated that she needs a size 2XL for scrub shirt and a size XL for scrub pants and that they have to be red in color.

Mother is currently homeless and had lost her previous job. She is in need of securing the new job in order to maintain her transportation (car loan), secure housing, and ultimately get the kids back in her care. The purchase of these scrubs will ensure she is able to start her new job as she is required to wear red scrubs while working at the facility.

I am reaching out to share the story of a remarkable mother who has held onto hope and resiliency in the face of challenge. She has bravely survived multiple forms of abuse from the father of her children and has fought to heal herself and her family. Due to domestic violence and physical abuse from the father, her children were removed from the home by child welfare. Less than a year ago, they were safely reunified with their mother, and she has been working hard to overcome ongoing barriers. Now, she is facing three major needs: employment, transportation, and utility assistance. I am seeking local nonprofits and community resources for her utility bills, but the lack of transportation is preventing her from getting or maintaining a job. Her vehicle is currently in the shop, with repair costs of $1,600. A state agency had promised to match $800 if she could contribute the other half. She worked hard and came up with her $800 but was recently told that the matching funds are no longer available. As a result, her car remains unrepaired, leaving her stuck without a way forward. We are asking for any support your church may be able to offer, whether that’s contributing a portion of the $800 still needed or generously covering the full amount. This mother has expressed a desire for connection and support from a church as she continues her journey toward safety and stability. She would like direct contact with any churches who respond and her phone number can be provided.

A previous mom we helped some time ago has stated the bed we gave is now worn. A photo was provided to show that. She would appreciate a twin bed for her son (mattress and box springs and rails, or platform frame) and a comforter. This will help her son to get the sleep he needs to be healthy and feel secure.

A family of 5 is in need of a bed for their oldest son. He is in high school and is need of a full-sized bed. The family has suffered a few set backs and are working hard to get back on their feet. Having a bed will greatly improve the quality of life for this teenage boy. Please consider helping with this need.

There is an individual within the church that coaches underprivileged children that is in need of athletic gear / shoes / cleats for a few of the children in order for them to remain active in sports this summer and throughout the upcoming school year.. mainly he is in need of basketball shoes any sizes and size 12.5 men's cleats and tennis/ basketball shoes. If u have any kids or adult shoes for males new or used in good condition that u would like to donate please please reach out these kids are desperately needing these to continue with the well-being of their athletic abilities not to mention being active in sports helps with the mental well being of our children in today's society
