A family in our church had a five year old girl placed with them yesterday. She arrived with very little and needs basic items. She will be moving schools and the family has asked that she have some new items to ease this transition, along with every day items.

I have a client that has secured housing, and she is needing help with furniture and cleaning supplies. She has 4 children that are in a foster home. If client gets home ready for children, we eventually will be able to reunify the children to their mom.

cleaning supplies: paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning/mopping supplies, broom-dust pan, mop, towels and wash clothes, hand soap, body soap, shampoo. Mom also uses whitfield transit and could benefit from coupon books.

Single mother of one boy is looking for assistance with obtaining a couch and chair/loveseat for the home she recently moved into. Gently used is acceptable. Anything will be greatly appreciated!

We are reaching out to support a loving single mother of five who is facing some challenges. Her daughter and twin boys have been struggling to sleep on air mattresses, which is starting to affect their focus and energy in the classroom. To help them rest better, we are kindly requesting donations of mattresses and box springs for their beds. Additionally, the mom is seeking assistance in obtaining a pair of birth certificates for her twin boys, as they prepare to start school for the first time in August.

I am working with an aunt, who is taking care of three teenagers, her 2 nephews and 1 niece, as well as the niece's two year old baby, along with her her own twin girls. She usually receives $799 in food stamps and for some reason, they stopped this month. She has paid the rent and all of her bills, but has nothing left for food. We are in the process of helping her get her food stamps back. To add to the problem, the aunt did not receive one of the children's stipend checks this month, so they are very low on money this month. Hopefully, this will all be worked out soon, but in the meantime, this family really needs help. She has been to food pantries but really needs meat, fruit and veggies, bread and some other things. I am working with a father of three small children (12 months, 14 months and 2 years) who he cares for alone much of the time. They have the need for a large play pen for infants/toddlers. They look similar to baby gates, but it's many of them making a big square. I saw them on amazon from $35 - $150. This would really help this father out, as when he needs to tend to one of them, the other two would be safe inside the playpen. Also, I also wanted to note that one of the boys turned 1 in January and the other one just turned one in March. Father mentioned that they weren't able to do much for their birthdays and he was thinking of trying to have a party for them soon. If you would like to get something for the boys (or even their 2 year old sister), I'm sure the father would appreciate anything educational. He stresses education, even at their young ages. Our foster family of 7 with a baby on the way is in need of a meal train the week their baby is born (due date is May 3rd). We're hoping to have 5+ people sign up to each bring a large meal (10 servings) the week the baby is born. This will make a tremendous difference for this family as they transition into life with a newborn.

A father has recently gotten housing and needs items for him and his son to be comfortable in their home. A few items are listed but the apartment needs all the basics for living. Financial assistance is also welcome to help purchase needed items.

A couple in our church community are expecting their first baby in a few weeks. The mom-to-be would greatly appreciate if someone could come to their home and put together a dresser while her husband is away at basic training. They are located in Cary.

There is a family within our church who is changing their housing situation. They need help with their water deposit to insure their housing situation.
