Kinship. Caregiver is single and she is taking care of her niece. Caregiver recently move into a bigger home with more space for her niece and she is in need of a sofa. Prior to having her niece placed in her home the Caregiver’s mother had custody of child. The caregivers mother passed away in September 2024 and the child was placed with the Caregiver in October 2024. The caregiver has been a bit overwhelmed with expenses for the child as well as the loss of her mother. By providing this caregiver and her niece with a sofa it will create a comfortable environment for the family and will ease financial strain on the caregiver. This will also allow the caregiver the ability to concentrate on other costs she must pay. The caregiver is currently employed and will be able to sustain the household after this need is met. The caregiver is requesting a sofa from Nadar’s LA popular furniture. She can provide the information for the sofa when she is contacted.

This family with 6 children. The home is in a mess and we are trying to make it a safe place for the children. A dumpster is needed for clean up and anything toward this would be greatly appreciated thank you. The total is $400.00

Seventh grade girl came to me two days in a row to say her clothes and shoes were ill fitting. She has a 2nd grade sister that is also in need of clothes and shoes.

The family moved on 1/31/25 to a new home as they found a more affordable housing option for their family. The family is currently in need of some furniture, including: a chest of drawers or dresser, a couch, and a dining set. The addition of the above items will allow the family to have furniture and stabilize the placement of the children in the home. It will allow the caregiver to utilize the monthly stipend provided for the children placed to provide items for the children instead of having to purchase furniture.

CASA Marion is Marion County's certified center serving victims of domestic violence and their children. A mother has checked into the shelter and needs clothes for her baby girl. Her baby wears size 9-12 months and could use the following items:

-One pack of five body suits -Two dresses -One pack of socks (with at least five pairs of socks per pack) -Five pairs of pajamas -Two shirts -Two pairs of shorts -Two pairs of shoes

Helping this mother to clothe her baby girl will provide this family with a sense of dignity and let them know that they're loved and supported by the community. Moreover, this mother will develop the confidence that she can care for her baby in safety.

A family in our church had a five year old girl placed with them yesterday. She arrived with very little and needs basic items. She will be moving schools and the family has asked that she have some new items to ease this transition, along with every day items.

Our foster family of 7 with a baby on the way is in need of a meal train the week their baby is born (due date is May 3rd). We're hoping to have 5+ people sign up to each bring a large meal (10 servings) the week the baby is born. This will make a tremendous difference for this family as they transition into life with a newborn.

A father has recently gotten housing and needs items for him and his son to be comfortable in their home. A few items are listed but the apartment needs all the basics for living. Financial assistance is also welcome to help purchase needed items.

A couple in our church community are expecting their first baby in a few weeks. The mom-to-be would greatly appreciate if someone could come to their home and put together a dresser while her husband is away at basic training. They are located in Cary.

There is a family within our church who is changing their housing situation. They need help with their electric deposit to insure their housing situation.
