A 5-year-old girl got accepted into a specialized school and behavioral health program that will greatly benefit her emotional well-being and provide her foster parent with the necessary support to continue parenting her. To attend the program, she must wear sneakers. This foster parent would greatly appreciate assistance with providing a pair in size 11. Additionally, the foster parent will be traveling an extra 50 miles per day to drop her off and pick her up and would appreciate a gas card to assist with the cost of gas.

A foster placement with 3 siblings, ages 5, 2, and 1 year, is in need of a baby gate to prevent injuries involving the stairs. Foster mom does not think a normal baby gate will work, due to the set-up of the staircase. She is requesting something similar to this: Go To Link This foster mom is also in need of sheets for the two girls. She does not currently have any for them, they usually sleep with a blanket covering the mattress.

A young couple has a 1 1/2 year old child that the court allowed to stay in the home under court supervision. The parents are working with several service providers to help correct the situation. The father is working and the mother is seeking employment. Recently, the air conditioner in their trailer went out. They are currently sleeping in the living room with multiple fans but it is not keeping the trailer very cool due to the high summer temperatures. They are in need of two window units so they can place one in the living room and the other near the bedrooms.

Upon meeting with a family, DHS worker was visiting with a family and was informed of various financial struggles. The family is past due on 2 or more bills including their electricity and internet bill. The amount in the request is the full PSO amount. The Cox bill is in the $100+ area. The family experienced a break-in in March and had many of their valuables stolen. Two of the children in the home are on the Autism spectrum, one is facing legal troubles and the other has serious heart defect. Only one of the parents is working full time while the other stays home with the children. They do not receive any state benefits other than Sooner Care.

An expectant mother in trial reunification with her 2 toddlers, a 3-year-old girl and 2-year-old boy, just started a new job and would greatly appreciate a gas card to get her and the kids to daycare, work shifts, appointments, and meetings.

Kinship Foster/Great-Grandparents are in need of a twin mattress to accommodate relative child placed in their care. The child is currently utilizing a toddler bed but the room is shared with other children in the home. A bunkbed has been secured to accommodate for room size. Only one twin mattress is needed. There are two kids that have been unexpectedly placed with a kinship placement. They both are needing clothing at this time due to the unexpected placement, they do not have clothing right now and the kinship family is unable to afford any at the time. Clothes are needed in girls size 10-12 and she needs shirts, shorts, pants, underwear and bras, socks and with pajamas. Clothes are also needed in boys size 8-10 and he needs shirts, shorts, pants, underwear, socks and pajamas.

Child is 16 and lives in Bartlesville. Childs mother is in a nursing home in Tulsa. Child's relative who is the foster parent has offered to take child to see his mother in the nursing home but the gas is too expensive. Gas cards to provide relative to take child to nursing home would be greatly appreciated! Child would love to see his mother more.

A single parent mother of two is needing assistance with the getting her vehicle repaired. The total estimated cost to repair the vehicle is $1600. However, the mother is asking for any assistance that can be given in the amount of $800 as she has already raised half the amount. Your assistance will greatly help this mother avoid losing her vehicle. Your assistance is very helpful and much appreciated in getting this family back on their feet.

There are 2 boys ages 5 and 10 in placement. They came with no clothing items with them. They wear sizes 10/12 in shirts and pants and 6/7 in shirts and pants. Any assistance with clothing would be helpful for this family.

I am working with a biological family of two. Mom and her two year old son are currently in trial reunification. Mom is in a vulnerable place right now but is working hard to establish her independence. She has begun working with a staffing company for employment and is actively seeking income based apartments or sober living for herself and her son. Perhaps the biggest barrier Mom has to achieving her independence is transportation, because she does not have a personal vehicle and cannot afford car payments. Lack of a personal vehicle greatly minimizes job opportunities and housing options that Mom is able to apply to and/or accept. Mom will not be able to afford a car payment and is not particular about the vehicle she drives, so if there is a vehicle out there that has been donated, Mom would be MOST grateful (and blessed!) to be the recipient of that vehicle. Family is needing activity for the child to do during the day to keep him busy and engaged and out of trouble. Child is 13 years old at home with his mother. The mother found a water park that has social activities that would keep the family engaged. At this time the mother can not afford the seasonal pass, but expressed that they would use it often.
