Northway Christian Family Church

A family of five with three children (18 year old son, 16 year old daughter and 10 year old daughter) is in need of bedroom furniture. Their 16 year old daughter has recently returned to the home and shares a bedroom with her little sister. The family is struggling financially as the father and mother have been unable to maintain consistent employment. The 10-year-old is currently sleeping in a plastic toddler sized bed and the 16-year-old does not have any pillows. She has been using rolled up blankets as pillows since returning home. The family would benefit from a twin-sized bunk bed, 4 pillows, 2 twin sized bed sheets, and a twin mattress to allow both children appropriate bedding and a place to sleep. Any support you could give to help these children would be amazing! Thank you!

This family has 6 minor children and 3 adult children that live in the home. The children range in age from an almost one year old to a 22 year old. The youngest is now crawling and moving around a lot. The family recently had a scare in regards to the littlest being mobile. The baby gate will prevent the baby from going into the kitchen or having access to the basement door. The older children sometimes leave the basement door open which creates a safety hazard for the now mobile youngest child. The door frame the gate needs to fit across is 46 inches wide.

The family has not had a working dryer for several months. There are 8 individuals in the home (5 children, 3 adults) and they have been struggling to wash and dry each person’s clothes in the home. The family stated that in addition to a working dryer, a clothesline would also be helpful to dry any extra items during warm weather. Two parents and three young children moved into their grandparents' home which is very cluttered and stuffed full of generational belongings. Due to the cramped quarters and mass number of items that need to be gotten rid of, the children have limited space to sleep and be active adolescents. By obtaining a dumpster, this would assist the family with quick removal of these unnecessary items, and give the family a cleaner, more comfortable, and healthier environment to live. A 7-day rental for a 10-yard dumpster from Twin Bridges is $475 after taxes and fees. This request is being split up into 2, one for $225 and another for $250.

A single mother with 2 young children, who was previously homeless, is in need of some assistance. Her children are in need of summer clothing. 10 year female child in need of: XL adult shirts, adult size 11/XL shorts, Large adult dresses, adult size 9 crocs (likes "girly" clothes). 8 year old female child is in need of: kids 12/14 tops, kids 12/14 shorts, kid size 5 shoes (likes "sporty" style clothes).

Family is currently homeless and staying in emergency housing. Family has one (1) child with them approximately 18 months old and male. The parents struggle with their mental health and managing their finances which has led to their current situation. Family is requesting cleaning products to keep their temporary housing clean and safe for their child. Due to lack of storage, the family is requesting 3T clothing for their child for the warmer months as they were unable to bring their belongings into emergency housing.

The family is in need of mop, broom with dustpan, cleaning wipes, paper towels, toilet bow cleaner, spray cleaner/disinfectant spray, laundry soap, sponges, dish soap, and hand towels. Thay also need size 3T shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirt, pajamas, jacket, toddler size 6-7 shoes, diapers size 6, baby wipes, and socks.

Two teenage girls were recently removed from their father's care by Child Protective Services and placed with their maternal grandmother. The grandmother also has custody of two young male grandchildren and finances are tight. These gift cards would allow the grandmother to purchase appropriate, seasonal, and well-fitting clothing and footwear for her granddaughters. Having these items will allow the teens to attend school and feel more comfortable, thus increasing their self-esteem and sense of belonging. Their father's income is very low, and the children's clothing was limited prior to their placement with grandmother.

A young couple with a newborn baby are in need of some extra support. They need some supplies for their baby. Items include: baby thermometer, giftcard for groceries, and 2 dressers. They are also in need of having their oil tank refilled for heat. This will hold them over while they wait for the assistance to kick in from the county.

Single mother with low income has two young children who are able to open the family's front door on their own which places them at risk of getting outside without appropriate supervision. Mom does her best to keep eyes on the children at all times, and this safety lock would help prevent the children from being able to gain access to the outdoors and potential dangers.
