I am working with a 19 year old non-minor dependent. She recently moved into her own apartment. She is excited about her move and is motivated to increase her level of independence. She wants to earn a college degree and get a stable job. Unfortunately, her EBT benefits were unexpectedly discontinued, creating food insecurity in her home. While she will be receiving SILP funds, most of this funding will go towards her rent. Assistance with obtaining groceries are much appreciated as she plans to make adjustments to meet her needs in the long-term.

We have a family that consists of a single mother and 3 children. The mother works hard to provide for her children. The mother was able to secure a bunkbed bed frame for her children, but she is currently unable to purchase the mattresses. The children are in need of a full-size mattress and a twin-size mattress. By fulfilling this request, it will take some of the stress off of the mother and provide the children with safe and comfortable beds.

There is a single mom of two great kids, a son and a daughter. She is working hard at trying to secure a more permanent housing situation for her family. Not only that, she is looking to replace the clothing for her and her two children. She has growing kids and with the changing seasons, it's becoming difficult to save money for security deposit on a new place and trying to buy new clothing for her kids as well as herself since they lost everything.

I’m reaching out on behalf of a family in need — a single mother and her teenage son who are currently experiencing homelessness. The student, has a deep passion for basketball. According to his school counselor, he has recently become withdrawn and less communicative, likely due to the stress of his current living situation. However, when he’s on the court playing basketball, his entire demeanor shifts — it’s the one place where he seems to come alive. We strongly believe that participating in a Summer Basketball Camp this June would offer him not only a positive and structured environment, but also a critical emotional and mental outlet during a very challenging time in his life. We are seeking sponsorship support to help cover the cost of the camp. Your generosity would directly impact a young person’s life, offering him hope, community, and a chance to thrive through something he truly loves. A resilient single mother of one who was displaced by the recent LA fires is in urgent need of assistance. She lost both her home and job due to the devastation, and during this season of loss, she had to rely heavily on credit to meet basic needs for herself and her child. With the support of extended family, she has worked hard to get back on her feet securing a new job and recently moving into her own apartment. However, the weight of credit card debt from that difficult period still lingers. She has faithfully paid most of it down, but she is $720 short of fully catching up. This remaining balance is preventing her from fully stabilizing and reestablishing financial independence. Paying off this debt would immediately relieve a heavy burden and allow her to focus on caring for her child and maintaining the progress she’s made.

A family of six was tragically displaced during the Eaton Fire and has been living in survival mode ever since couch surfing, sleeping in their vehicle, and struggling to find stability. With no renters insurance and no support received through FEMA or other agencies, they have lost everything. They are currently staying in a temporary shelter that will eventually assist them with subsidized housing, but in the meantime, they are in urgent need of support. Needs include:Clothing and shoes for all children, Hygiene essentials, Grocery gift cards, Gas cards to help the parents attend school and medical appointments The family was recently connected to Greater Shiloh Church, who is committed to walking alongside them and providing ongoing relational and tangible support. Any help provided through this request will go a long way in helping them stay together and regain a sense of hope and stability.

Mother is a domestic violence survivor. Father would hit mother away and in the presence of the child. Mother was able to leave the relationship and now has a full-time job and a 2-bedroom apartment now for herself and the baby. Mother’s income goes to maintaining the apartment and caring for her son. Mother does not receive child support or anything from the father. Mother’s refrigerator leaks and the door comes open and she has lost a lot of food.

TCR pre-funded request - A single dad has been living with his parents and his two kids. Because of having trouble securing job because his car burned with their house, he is having trouble securing housing. He is currently staying between hotels and shelters allowing his kids to stay with their grandparents in their temporary housing. He is needing to secure a car again to be able to get a job, and eventually a place to stay that could support him and his kids together. He is struggling in the domino effect of the fires that has caused him to lose everything. I'm advocating for $3,000 to secure some housing for him as well as some clothing and Uber costs for job interviews. He is looking for any kind of car and hopeful he can get one so transportation can be secured for work. He is eager to be able to get back to work to care for his kids again.

The family is in need of a washer and dryer. The relative caregiver reported that it is challenging to use a laundromat, as the child has difficulty self-regulating in public setting and is easily overstimulated. Additionally, the caregiver must provide a high level of direct supervision and frequent redirection to the child. The caregiver is the sole provider for the family and has been focused on meeting the child’s basic needs such as food and shelter. She shared that purchasing a washer and dryer would create a significant financial strain.

Caregiver raising her 18 year old daughter and caring boy age 7 under f NUFRM foster care placement (for 4 years and is in the process to establish Legal Guardianship ) for girl age 6 (has been with her 1 yr she is also in the process to liberated and is going to do Legal guardianship ) and a supervision of DCFS they it has been a long process and at this moment with daughter graduation expenses she is short on her rent, the landlord has extended you due date to the 15th with no late fees she just reached out. Her rent is $2,999.00 she is short $1300.

A wife and her husband and their two children lost everything. They are currently running several foster homes for kids and continue to put that as a priority. They have been able to find temporary housing, but the cost of replacing items for them and their two children is increasingly difficult as they are still making mortgage payments and with the $6,000/mo rental. They have been able to receive some insurance payouts, but with the increase costs of goods, they are not going to be able to have that cover the rebuild. I am advocating for $2000 as they are needing to make purchases for clothing and small items for their temporary housing.

A Caregiver age 57 whose husband passed away from Covid is raising her 8 year old that is being asset for Regional Center and has a lot of behavior issues among other issues.Needs a Refrigerator is not working and she has to go to the store daily. She does not have the means to replace it at this moment. Her car also needs repairs and new tires she has no clue what the coast is. Her husband usually took care of this.I am not sure if you can help her with both of her needs but Refrigerator asap.
