We are asking for food for two women we have served through the Betty Griffin Domestic Violence Shelter. Both moms have survived severe domestic violence situations and ended up meeting each other while seeking safety in the shelter with their children. One mom has a 3 yr old little girl, the other has a 6yr old and 4 yr old pair of little girls. One of the little girls is severely autistic. These women have decided to team up and rent a home together to create stability and safety for their daughters. We couldn't be more proud of their courage and heart throughout this overwhelming journey. We know that moving into a new place and starting a new chapter in life can be hard. Leaving a shelter where all your needs have been met and having to start over with nothing is a huge challenge. We would love to provide food and any basic household items such as trash bags, toilet paper, or laundry detergent in order to give these women and their children a leg up! By providing these needs, it will allow both families to settle into their new normal and will alleviate the some of the stress of starting all over. The future looks bright for them!

The wonderful relative caregivers have placement of their two granddaughters (ages 9 and 10). The children have been living with the grandparents since April, but were not officially sheltered until this month. The grandparents have taken care of the children on their own since April. The grandparents are not receiving funding for the children just yet. The grandmother has asked for assistance obtaining clothing for the children- summer clothes for now, as well as help with school clothes. Both girls wear a size small in woman's clothing. Request for help obtaining clothing or gift cards for the children to pick out the clothing.

A teenage boy who is preparing to transition into his forever placement. He will be placed with his younger brother. As he prepares for this transition, he is need of a large durable piece of luggage to help him transport his belongings.

Any support in providing a large suitcase would be greatly appreciated and will help make this transition smooth.

This child is in need of a weight set as a part of his coping skills within our program. This child's main goal within services in his own Words is to be adopted as his mother disappeared 3 years ago due to drug use and he has the desire to be adopted along with his siblings after severe neglect took place within the home. The family would benefit from this weight set because of how this supports the client's coping skills and current goals and future desire of going into the military to serve our nation and to build strength for his wrestling team in high school. In the meantime, until he is adopted, he would like to work toward his physical health being strong so he is able and ready for anything and equal to anything he may encounter going forward in his life. The family would greatly appreciate this because they have been doing a lot for both this child and his sibling without the support they were promised kicking in and low funds for anything beyond basic needs.

This child came into care due to a neglect situation. He came into care with our agency when he suffered a spiral leg fracture and broken jaw on separate occasions while in the care of his mother. He was placed with his aunt and uncle and has been residing with them since the removal. He is in need of a big-boy bed (twin) mattress, bedding, and frame.

These two siblings have been living transient with their mother and have not had any stability in their lives. Their father is not in the picture, and they arrived into foster care with very little items. The minimal clothing that they did have was the wrong size for them. The foster family would appreciate any and all help with these children to ensure they are happy, comfortable, stable, and loved!

Boys size 8 in shorts and shirts, 3 or 3.5 in boys shoes. Toddler girl size 2t-3t size 6 or 7 in shoes. Size 4 diapers.

Specifically, they are requesting a stroller, a swim vest/life jacket for the 7-year-old boy, underwear, pajamas, socks, swimsuit, shoes for the 7-year-old boy - size 4 diapers, socks for the 2-year-old, pants for the 2-year-old girl educational toys/books for the 2-year-old girl

Child has been placed since December, now that he is older caregiver is asking for help purchasing a potty chair. Toddler boys underwear. This will be a big finical help so that she doesn't have to worry about purchasing pullups. Amazon suggestion: Potty Chair: Go To Link

This family has been working with our non-judicial unit for a while now and making great progress. The mother is blind, we requested some fans for their home but they did not end up moving like we originally were hoping. So now, we are requesting a bit more of a substantial and permanent solution for their home. IF we can get 1-2 window A/C units that would be amazing. The fans have helped circulate the air and have been extremely helpful and will continue to be used. But cool air would be awesome for them. My client is a single mother of a young girl with health challenges. Her child is currently sleeping on a stained bed in poor condition and is too small for her growing frame. Single foster parent (female) moved into an apartment to provide a more livable and healthier environment for the foster child, her nephew. She stated the 6-year-old male has a cot like bed on a frame that doesn't fit. She has used most of her resources for the move. (We all know how expensive it is to move!) She is requesting a twin mattress and bed frame along with bedding. (He likes dinosaurs and leggos.) This child has been through a lot and here is an easy way to express love and care. Having his own bed and bedding will make him feel cared for and loved. Twin comforter sets include the sheets.

The family is currently in urgent need of proper bedding for two children, a 10-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the mother had to make a sudden move with her children and is currently unable to afford beds, mattresses, or essential bedding items. At present, the children are sleeping on air mattresses, which is not a sustainable or comfortable long-term solution. The family requires two beds (preferably bunk beds), mattresses, bedding sets, and pillows to ensure the children have a safe and appropriate sleeping arrangement in their new home. Providing these items will significantly improve the children's comfort and overall well-being.

The family is trying to get their home safe from environmental hazards. Allowing possible reunification with the child and parents. However, in the child's bedroom is a cardboard covering a missing window. The family is requesting a window replacement of measurements 29.5" X53.5" or 30" X 54" The home material is a mobile home. Please ensure this window is accessible for emergencies in the event of a fire.

The child could also use extra storage in her bedroom for clothes. For example, plastic cabinets with drawers or wooden framed.
