Help Strengthen a Bio Family

This is a single father of two young boys, ages 3 and 4. He has overcome significant challenges and works hard to provide for his children. However, he is struggling to afford clothing for his boys as they continue to grow. Balancing rent, bills, groceries, and car expenses on a very tight budget is proving to be difficult. The father would greatly appreciate a gift card to any clothing store or receiving clothes for his children. They are currently in sizes 4-5T and kids' sizes 7-8. Help Strengthen a Bio Family

This is a two-parent household with a nearly 2-year-old daughter. The father works hard to provide for the family, ensuring they have a stable home and food on the table. The mother has a disability and is unable to work, but she is taking classes while caring for their toddler at home. As their daughter grows, she is outgrowing the baby toys they currently have. The family is unable to afford new, developmentally appropriate toys for her and is hopeful to receive items such as building toys (like Legos and blocks) to support her growth and development as she approaches her second birthday.

This is a single mother with four children: one young adult and three minors. The mother is currently adjusting to single parenthood. After years of housing instability, the family has finally secured a home through a housing program, and they are extremely grateful to have a place to call their own.

However, the mother is struggling to afford gas, which is necessary for transporting her children to school, activities, and other important commitments. Providing her with gas cards would enable her to take her kids to the park and other outings that the family is currently unable to enjoy.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family

Single mother and her almost 1-year-old, cheerful baby boy. The mother has made significant progress in her life. Recently, they were able to move into a new apartment through our housing program. However, they are still in need of some furniture and household items to make their new space feel like home.

Specifically, they need a dining room table (preferably for four people), dining room chairs, a small dresser, two floor lamps, a toaster or toaster oven, and some plates. These items would greatly help this family start fresh and create a warm, welcoming environment in their apartment.

A mother and her two children recently migrated from Central America to reunite with her husband. The father has had to relocate to a studio so that the entire family can fit in a home they can afford. Help Make a Foster Care Placement

We are supporting a single mother who is both adoptive and foster, as she relocates back to Santa Clara County with three adopted children. On Friday, May 9th, she was informed by a Santa Clara County placement social worker that my adopted daughter's birth mother was killed in a car accident. She is now in urgent need of an affordable 3-4 bedroom rental home to accommodate her two little sisters, who have also been displaced.

She has been a significant presence in these girls' lives since their birth and is one of the only constants they have known. Despite having excellent credit and a stable income, she is struggling to find an affordable place to live. Securing affordable housing is crucial for her to quickly take placement of the siblings, who are coping with the loss of their mother. It is essential to adhere to all foster care licensing regulations. Here are some items she would need for their new home: Bedroom:

  • 2 Twin bunk beds
  • A twin bed with a mattress and bedding set
  • Pillows
  • A dresser Kitchen Items:
  • Refrigerator
  • Silverware set for 5
  • Plate set for 5
  • Bowl set for 5
  • Cup set for 5 Living Room:
  • End tables
  • Standing lamps Additionally, rent assistance would be greatly appreciated to help ensure that the children can stay together as siblings. Remaining in the county is also important, as their case will involve visits and other local services. Thank you for your support.

Help Improve a Child's Wellbeing

We are supporting a resilient single mother of four as she navigates the challenges of life while raising her children, aged 16, 14, 11, and 7. This mom works tirelessly, juggling long hours at her job and parenting responsibilities to ensure her children have a roof over their heads and food on the table. Although her journey has been difficult and she has faced some setbacks, she strives to fill her home with love and safety. As summer approaches and all four kids will be out of school, the burden of childcare and increased expenses becomes heavier for her. She is using her paycheck and available resources to cover basic needs, but the financial strain of feeding four children at home and the lack of affordable childcare options has left her feeling overwhelmed and anxious. Meeting her family's needs will provide her with the peace of mind necessary to continue supporting her children and ensure stability during the summer months. Enrolling the children in the Boys & Girls Club will provide them with a safe and structured environment while their mother works. Additionally, it will foster their educational, social, and emotional development. The Boys & Girls Club offers enriching programs, positive mentorship, and a strong sense of belonging. Also with rising food costs and daily commuting expenses, your support would significantly alleviate the financial pressure this mother faces. It would also ensure that her children have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer.

Update: Erika from the Santa Clara Valley Japanese Church is now assisting with rent instead of utility bills, which were calculated as ($100/item x 4 = $400). However, the single mother still requires assistance with her utility bills please. Providing this assistance would help alleviate some of her stress and ensure her essential needs are met.
