We are requesting summer clothing and essential items for a disabled student who is currently unhoused. Due to his sensory needs, specific types of clothing are requested to help him feel comfortable and confident.

He wears a size 12/14 in clothing and a size 5.5 in shoes. The following items are needed:

Cotton khaki-style knee-length shorts (sensory-friendly material)

Cotton T-shirts and athletic T-shirts (sensory-friendly material)

Ankle slipper socks

Croc-style sandals (brand name not required) Underwear (boxer briefs)

A medium-sized suitcase for his belongings

The clothing and shoes do not need to be brand new but gently used would be great. These items will help provide comfort, and stability as we work to support him during this challenging time.

Seeking basic needs assistance for a pregnant refugee from the Congo with 4 children. This will be her first baby in the United States. We don't know the gender yet. We are requesting a double stroller since Mom has a 2 year old as well.

Requesting a donation of 150 helmets (or any amount you can give) to be distributed at our upcoming Bike & Walking Safety Family Night at Mirror Lake Elementary on May 23rd. We are hosting this event in partnership with the Federal Way Police Department to teach students important bike and walking safety skills.

One of our key goals is to ensure that every child who rides a bike or scooter has access to a properly fitting helmet for their safety. During the event, children will receive free helmet fittings, along with opportunities to participate in a bike safety course, walking safety games, and other educational activities.

Providing these helmets will help equip students with essential safety gear they may not otherwise have access to, and it will promote safe biking and scootering in our community.

I am submitting a request for support in providing summer clothing for three boys in a family currently facing financial hardship. Their mother is working multiple jobs to support the family but has no extra funds available to purchase clothing for the upcoming season.

The boys are in need of basic summer essentials, including T-shirts, shorts, and sandals. Currently, they do not have any of these items, which puts them at risk of discomfort during the warmer months. Providing this clothing will help ensure their physical comfort, support their well-being, and allow them to participate fully and confidently in daily activities both at school and in the community.

Their mother has expressed a sincere need and is asking for assistance to meet this need for her children. Meeting this request will relieve some of the family’s financial burden and promote the boys’ health, confidence, and readiness for summer activities.

We have an Afghan refugee family arrived here from Pakistan a month ago. Mom is pregnant and due in Sometime in June (we don't know the exact due date or baby's gender because she hasn't had an ultrasound yet). They are living with their relatives right now in Federal way and they don't have any baby items. Their immediate need for baby is a car seat and a pack and play. We provide some essentials items like clothes and diapers but they will need more in future. They also have a 7 yo daughter which unfortunately we couldn't help with clothes and shoes due to the age limitation of our program. A local family has exhausted their resources/options to provide a couple of much needed items for their baby boy. They are both currently not working. They are in need of a convertible car seat (NEW), a crib mattress (NEW) and two standard baby gates. These items will offer comfort and security during this hard time.
