A 46-year-old former military wife and proud mother to a service member is currently living in her car—a heartbreaking reality she’s faced since hurricanes displaced her last November. She now struggles to care for herself, dealing with serious medical issues while trying to survive alone. She wears a heart monitor, relies on a pacemaker, and needs a CPAP machine to breathe safely at night—when she can power it. Now her car has a flat tire, leaving with no means to deliver food through Uber Eats—her only income. Despite everything, she remains determined. She’s working with her Hope Navigator and other agencies to find a safer path forward, since her former career is no longer an option with her disabilities. She’s resourceful and advocates for herself daily. Her car is now her shelter and lifeline. Due to not being able to get income she needs help getting a new tire, as well as, food for herself and her service dog. She has given so much. Now, she simply needs a chance to survive.

A maternal aunt and grandmother have recently welcomed a 3-year-old girl into their care through an unexpected family placement. While they are deeply committed to providing a safe and loving home, the sudden nature of this transition has brought financial strain. They live in a small one-bedroom apartment and are in urgent need of a toddler bed and a small 3–4 drawer, chest of drawers. These items will not only provide comfort but also help establish a feeling of permanency in her new environment. During this time, she and her newborn are in need of essential personal hygiene items to support the baby's care and the mother's recovery.

The father and mother are often outdoors near the pool and the young child with delays comes out. The child almost drowned on one occasion. The child’s playroom is next to the pool and the family does not have safety locks. There are concerns as the child loves water and is attracted to it. The family would benefit from pool safety equipment to prevent the child from being in danger.

Single mother with a 14-year-old daughter is a survivor of domestic violence and recently had to leave her previous living situation with only her car and a few personal belongings. She has since secured stable housing with her Section 8 voucher; however, the home is currently unfurnished. She is in need of two beds with frames to help create a safe and comfortable space for herself and her daughter. All items can be found at Walmart. Anything will be a blessing.

single mom is requesting a bicycle and toddler seat/ helmet (child is a 2T size) to help get around and to work. She has recently been staying in a DV shelter after leaving an abusive relationship. This mom is newly pregnant and has been walking herself and her toddler son to all of their appointments.
